Dam went to get some food. Tulsi had been happy to go, but Ripp pointed out that Merchant’s men were crawling all over the city. Keaton’s too. It would take the wind from Styx’s sails if Merchant got word she was wandering the city on her own. More than that, if his goons got the drop on her, they could haul her in front of their boss and really screw them.
While she and Dam had their conversation in the office, Ripp and Styx had arranged their next meet. The plan was for Styx to tell Merchant he’d been approached about the exchange of Tulsi for the brothers and Wreck. Merchant would have to decide if the terms were acceptable. If they were, Styx was to return to the guy at midnight to arrange the trade. That was what Merchant would think anyway.
