THIRTY-FOUR Standing in the hall listening to Kieran come apart was getting them nowhere. Tulsi exhaled. “Take all the time you need to figure this out,” she said to Kieran, knowing he would be of little use when it came to making a plan for the newest potentially fatal disaster awaiting them. Taking Wreck’s hand, she looked to Rowdy. “Will you come talk with us?” Rowdy shrugged and used his arm to ease his brother aside, giving her space to walk past with Wreck in tow. In the living room, Ripp and Styx still sat in their armchairs at opposite sides of the room. Dam hadn’t moved either and remained on the high arm of the pull out couch.
