Aurora’s P.O.V.
Dante introduced me to everyone in his family and they were so welcoming. His nephew took a great liking to me and would not let my leg go. I am thankful Max still kept the secret. It would have gotten really weird if Dante knew.
Speaking of Max, "Hey Aurora. Want to chill at the pool? Everyone has agreed to come, and we will have grilled food."
I thought the offer over and agreed. I don’t have anything else to do anyway.
"That good. Be at the pool at 12 noon." I nodded my head and then we walked off.
I was just about to head back up to my room for a nap when Markus stopped me.
I so wanted to give Markus the annoyed look but held it in. "What do you want Markus?"
He grinned, "Well, I wanted to ask you if you are busy tonight." I really didn’t want to go out tonight but sleep in my bed, so I just made up a lie.
I was about to reply to his question but got interrupted in between, "She can't. I have to take her to see my friends.”
God, I only wanted to sleep. Why do this to me? Markus' happy demeanor changed into one of a pissed off stance.
All I knew was that it wasn’t my fault.
Markus' P.O.V
Ugh. My brother always does this. I am trying to spend time with this beautiful girl, but he always pushes me away, but I had had enough. I gave a small smile to cover up my pissed off look and called an old friend.
"Hey mama. What's shaken? Everything is good. Um, you know Dante isn’t getting married anymore right? Yeah, he broke it off I think last week. I am sure that he would love to meet up again."
I gave her the address to the house, and she said that she would be here. All things are going according to planned.
I will get Aurora to be mine. She deserves to be mine and not someone else’s.
Dante's P.O.V
I had led Aurora to her bedroom to catch a nap that she wanted. She went fast asleep as soon as her head laid on the pillow. I wrapped her in the covers and turned the AC up by a degree and left the room.
I needed to have a talk with my parents about my split with Victoria and the wedding. I went to my room and had called them to meet in the conference room.
I had put on a dressy shirt, pants and shoes and went to the conference room. They were already sitting down when I got there and my mom, being impatient, kept tapping her foot.
I sighed and sat in the head seat. I was about to speak when the maid came and brought us some water. I thanked her and she left.
"Mom and Dad, I have some vital information to tell you."
My father looked at me, "That is?"
"I broke off the wedding between Victoria and I."
They were about to interrupt but I stopped them from doing it. "I did it for a reason. You setting me up with a woman I did not have feelings for made me angry because I did not want that. I wanted to have a girl who I picked to be my wife forever."
"So, you are saying is that setting up a marriage is not love?" I shook my head saying no.
"I believe that somewhat to an extent but if you are against it, it might not work for you."
My mom agreed with me and my father agreed also. "We respect your decision and would support any good choice that you make." I gave both of them a hug; them supporting me really means a lot. This is like a turning point in both of our lives and a new leaf to a chapter.
