Aurora's P.O.V
Dante went into the bathroom to take a shower so that gave me enough time to go and get my apple. I hope you didn't think that I would forget about my precious apple.
I ate a big chunk out of the apple and swallowed it. It was really sweet and delicious.
Talking about sweet, I should really call Jane and Max and ask them about their relationship. Like I said, it gets lonely being by myself most of the time because Dante is heading right to work when he gets out the shower.
"Hey kitten." I heard his deep baritone voice mutter. "Hey wolfy." I replied, he gave me a confused look.
"Wolfy?"
I threw my apple in the garbage, patted his shoulder and shrugged. "I couldn't think of anything better. You just have to deal with it for now."
He laughed and kissed my forehead. "Come on. I'm going to drop you of at Danielle's house until I'm finished at the office."
I nodded my head and followed him out his car. We drove in comfortable silence to Danielle's house while occasionally rubbing our hands on each other.
In a matter of minutes, we were standing in her home with Jefferson sitting on the couch with a winded look on his face. My lips quickly formed into a wicked grin while I looked at Danielle's flushed face.
Dante was obvious clueless to the scenery before us because he pulled Danielle into a tight hug. They were whispering to each other, but I could care less.
I was trying to put together a plan in my head to get back at those two love birds. I walked into Danielle's house and sat down on the couch across from Jefferson.
Dante had just left, and I brought my plan into action. "So, you two have become quite close to each other from the looks of it," I took a look at Danielle's blushing face and that confirmed my curiosity.
"It's not really how you think it is..."
I laughed. "Oh really? So why when Dante and I was at the door, Jefferson looked winded like he was gasping for air."
Her face reddens more while Jefferson laughed. "P.S I knew you too had a make-out session, but I won't tell Dante."
"Thank God. Dante would kill Jefferson if he found out."
"I already found out." Well this conversation just got awkward. Dante just surprising everyone with his words.
"I knew Jefferson liked my sister from the hospital. I just knew it would only be a matter of time before he tells her." He stated briskly.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" Danielle snapped at him.
"Aren't you supposed to be sucking faces with Jefferson?" Dante clapped back. That was a burn in my opinion. Danielle was about to say something, but I interrupted.
"Ok guys. Dante, I love you but please leave." I gave him a kiss on the cheek and led him out the door.
"Now let’s get this party started." Jefferson shouted.
LATER THAT DAY......
"What the hell happened in here?" A deep voice boomed.
"What are you talking about big bro? We are chilling." Danielle slurred then she fainted next to Jefferson on the couch.
I chuckled. "I am up here on the staircase Dante."
His eyes flickered to mines and he smiled. "What happened to them?"
I shrugged. "They drank a little too much I guess."
"Come on. I'm going to take you somewhere."
I nodded and we walked out to the car and drove out to this 'somewhere' he was talking.
We pulled up to this clearing overlooking an empty road. I gave a confused look to Dante. "Why are we here?"
He just smirked, "You'll see." Then he just walked out the car.
I rolled my eyes and sat next to Dante on the hood of the car. He was looking at the road like his life depended on it. Crazy, I know.
"You ever felt like your life is like a road, with all the twist and turns?"
I nodded and pulled piece of my hair behind my ears. "Well our relationship is like this open road. It is empty but soon, it’s going to have cars riding on it."
He looked up at the angry clouds in the sky. "Those clouds are like the hardships in our relationship. People are going to try and tear us down, but we will stay strong."
He grabbed my hand and intertwined it with his. "Love is like an open road you know."
I laughed. "True but you’re missing one thing." I laid my head on his chest.
"This is our open road."
