Chapter 7 - Family Matters

711 Words
Dante's P.O.V "Hello mom." I said to her as she came ramming into Aurora's room. "I thought I heard a next voice in here." Was her response, damn mom can you at least act nicer. "So, you aren't going to say, “Hi Dante. Welcome home?" She ignored me again and began passing orders out to the maids. "Dante, I will be gone for the rest of the night so that means I won’t be here for dinner." I just nodded my head and she walked out of the room with the maids. I looked out of the window and made sure her car left the house before I told Aurora to come out. "Wow. Your mom....she is a handful." I sighed, "I know." I turned my body and faced her, "Do you want to watch a movie? I mean there is no one here yet." "Ok. I'll go with you. Let me just change into something comfortable and get my blanket." I nodded at her and went in my room to change into something my style. Aurora's P.O.V Hmm. I wonder what is going on with Dante. Maybe just nothing but I really want to watch this movie. Right when I came out of my door, Dante was there in a pajama pants and a long sleeves shirt that covered all those gorgeous muscles!! "Are you ready?" He asked in that husky, gruff voice. Dante stop please. "Yeah I'm ready." We started to walk off and I involuntarily grabbed onto Dante's forearm. I thought he was going to say something, but he didn’t. We walked in silence to the movie theater and sat down and we watched Fifty Shades of Grey. "Okay. That movie had a lot of sex." "You are correct. They hardly talked and only had sex." I let out a small laugh. He walked me back to my room and gave me a small kiss on my forehead and gently pushed me inside my room and closed the door. What a day! I am truly drained. Next Day.... I woke up to the sound of someone knocking at my door. I groggily got out of my bed and opened the door. The person on the other side was Dante's mother. God, do you hate me right now? "Hello Mrs. Blanc. How can I help you?" I ask tiredly. She hummed, "Even if I asked you this question, Dante would be mad at me so never mind. Have a good morning." Then she left. I closed the door and went into the bathroom, did my business which includes bathing and brushed my hair. I checked myself in the mirror and stared at the girl looking back at me. My cheeks had suddenly turned pink and my skin looked alive again. I liked this new look. Then there was a knock on the door again and the person was very impatient, so they barged in. "Dante, couldn't you just wait until I open the door?" He shrugged and grabbed my hand and led me downstairs. To break the silence I asked, "So, where are your other relatives?" He looked at me, "They are coming soon. It’s just that the pilot was late, but they will be here shortly." I nodded and my stomach growled. Dante laughed, "I am feeling the same way you do but we can’t eat until the rest of the family arrives." I let out a breath, "But I'm hungry." "You will eat soon Aurora. I promise." I gave him the look, "And you better keep that promise." " He chuckled and nodded. A few moments later, some people began to walk in the house with luggage. They were young and old with wide smiles on their faces, waiting to greet other relatives. Dante went and helped some of them who were struggling with the bags and I watched attentively as the muscles in Dante's back flexed until Markus blocked my view. "Hey Markus." He folded his arms and looked closely at me. "Hey Aurora. What are you doing here?" I was about to tell him that I was here with Dante, but he interrupted. "Did you follow me here to get piece of this body or to get in my bed?" I was shocked at his words. How could he say something like that? "No, you crazed fool. I actually came here with...." "Me." A deeper voice finished. I knew that voice from anywhere. It was Dante.
