Aurora's P.O.V
Have you ever felt like Cinderella, but you are just an ordinary girl? Have you ever felt the coolness of the breeze wash over your moist skin? Or have you just felt like me at a party with extravagant billionaires?
Dante had left me in the middle of the dance floor to get us some drinks that looked unhealthy in so many ways.
I sighed heavily and peered down at my stunning attire. It was certainly beautiful even after all these years.
"Here you go Aurora." Dante muttered in my ear. I took the soft beverage out of his hand and thanked him.
"Ah. Here they are." I raised up my head to see a male coming our way. It looked like Dante already knew who he was by rolling his eyes.
"Hello Jefferson. Long time no see right?" Dante inquired.
Jefferson laughed, “It is exactly that. Man, I miss France. Just the tranquility of home brings back good memories."
A smiled plastered its way onto my face. Jefferson was really an elated fellow.
He must have sensed me looking at him because he peered his eyes at me.
"Well hello Miss. My name is Jefferson Pete. I am a close friend of this fellow," he pointed at Dante, "And would you care for a dance?"
He stretched out his arm for me to take and I gave Dante a look. He chuckled, "It is fine. Go dance."
I nodded and took Jefferson's outstretched hand and we walked to the dance floor.
We danced gracefully to the beat of Celine Dion's The Prayer. "This is such a beautiful song." I stated, resting my palm on his well-built shoulder.
"It is. You look tempting tonight Madam. I advise you to keep close to Dante for the remainder of the night. It can get wild at parties like these."
I nodded at he led me back to Dante who was just finishing talking to his comrades.
Dante's face glowed up when he saw me walking up to him. We linked our arms together and, in all reality, this had to be the cutest moment between us.
I accidentally sniffed his cologne and I was caught. My cheeks were beat red as I pressed my face into Dante's chest.
As I was enjoying this moment, I caught a glimpse of Markus walking in, hand in hand with a girl that looked like she came out of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Cover.
I felt Dante stiffen and I shot him a confused look. Jefferson noticed and nodded to him.
He took me away from Dante and we walked outside to feel the cool breeze. Jefferson gave me his jacket because I started to shiver rapidly. I just gave him a curt thank you.
"So why are we out here?" I asked, not wanting to hear just silence between the two of us.
He let out a huge breath and shook his head. "It is not my place to say."
I raised my eyebrows in confusion, “What do you mean?"
He chuckled, "Did you get that line from Justin Bieber?"
I blushed. "No.....Well yes." We both laughed together. At the end of our laughing, we heard footsteps coming our way and they were heavy.
"Jefferson, I think someone is coming to us." I whispered in his ear, "I can feel it too."
I shouldn't have turned around because I just saw my horrid past resurfaced into my future.
There he was standing in front of me with an all-white suit and an evil smile. Jefferson stood in between us, maybe because he saw my frightened expression.
"Aurora!" A voice, I clearly recognized from a distance, shouted. It didn't even take him a second and Dante was already beside me.
My eyes were still glued to his colossal frame.
"Who is he?" He whispered into my ear, causing a lump to form in my bare throat.
"My ex." I replied, just barely above a whisper.
