Chapter 2

1099 Words
I suddenly opened my eyes and it was two years ago, the bead glowing bright red on my wrist which is unusual. It would always glow blue no matter what. It seemed like I had just seen my destiny; my tragic destiny. My body shook in horror. Andrea? My own best friend? It wasn’t a dream. Everything was real. Shaken and still feeling shocked by the vividness of my supposed destiny, I stumbled into the bathroom to splash cold water on my face. I suddenly felt hot all over, just thinking of everything I saw and learned from my future. Na! If that is what is supposed to happen, then I will change that. I’d prevent that from happening! No way will I go through all that or will all that befall me? As droplets trickled down my skin, I heard a knocking sound on the door so I pulled my towel, and stepped out of the bathroom while dabbing gently on my face. Stepping out of my room, I saw my father engaged in a conversation with Andrea in the sitting room who had just stepped in through the door. Upon seeing her, I froze and just stood there staring, everything replaying in my mind. The scene of Andrea ringing the bell, swinging the string, and muttering inaudible words felt so real. It felt way too real! "Emma," she greeted me, waving in my direction while I stood motionless. My newfound knowledge and discovery were becoming too much for me to take in causing a surge of unease. I snapped back when I felt someone shake me slightly. It was Andrea who was already in front of me. I didn't even know when I zoned out. She reached out, lightly touching my forehead. “What’s wrong? You’re fine?” With her pretty brown eyes on my face, she sounded genuinely concerned and worried that I would feel grateful if I had not seen or learned about all I had just learnt. My dad knows Andrea to be my only friend and best friend and therefore returned to him room, leaving us alone “I’m fine,” I muttered slowly while keeping my eyes on her face like I could read her intentions if I did. “Let’s go to my room,” I said. She nodded and let me lead her to my room. “Hey! When was the last time you swept this room?” Andrea started once she stepped into my room, pointing at a single piece of paper on the floor. Well this is something I’m quite used to. Having to listen to Andrea scold me for not sweeping each time she came here. Not like I’m dirty, but Andrea would scold me even if it’s just a small piece of paper or nylon on the floor. She was a clean freak! A clean freak with an evil heart! I sighed and turned to see her naturally trying to put my room in order, arranging and organizing a few pieces of stuff, putting them in their rightful position. Like my shirt from yesterday still laying on my stool and a sandal I had left at the centre of the room. She did them naturally and seamlessly and I watched her till I stared at her for way too longer than I had planned. She did not notice though so I just picked up my toothbrush, got my toothpaste, and left for the bathroom with so many thoughts on my mind. But after closing the door behind me, I just could not resist the urge to peek through a small hole in the door. My eyes narrowed as I watched Andrea's sudden shift in behaviour. She swiftly glanced towards the bathroom door, got up, stealthily tiptoed to my drawer, then she began rummaging through. I was surprised and did not understand what she was searching for. Of course, I did not see this scene in my past life cause I never thought to peep on her for any reason. I deliberately tapped lightly on the door and she hastily returned to her position on my bed, feigning innocence. Hatred flashed in my eyes. Evil b***h! I went on to brush my mouth then stepped out like I knew or saw nothing. “There’s going to be a picnic somewhere around the Lupine court. I want us to attend Emma. We might even get to meet Anderson,” Andrea stated and I could not help but look at her in awe. That was the exact thing she had said in my past life. This was beginning to hit hard. It was beginning to feel so real. "Alright Andrea, that would be great," I said and she smiled. The Lupine Court is where the Alpha of our pack lived with his Luna, his only son, and three daughters. Anderson is the only son of our Alpha who would be taking over in less than two years to be the new Alpha of Moonlight Hollow Pack as our current Alpha has become old and no longer as strong as he used to be. Now in my past life, I had met Anderson for the first time at a picnic. I had only just told Andrea last week about special abilities and she already had something with Anderson up their sleeves. Telling Andrea really is my worst mistake. But since I already lived the life, I pretty much know how the events of the picnic will unfold, me meeting Anderson and forming a really fast friendship being the highlight. I chuckled inwardly. If it happens exactly this way, I’m starting my revenge plan while playing along with them. I would play along with them and then come against them both when they least expect, destroying them. Anyways, it’s been a really long while since we had any wars in the pack so going for a picnic isn’t a bad idea either. But then I think I have to start reading books about hypnotism to at least know a few signs and strategies cause I really want to know ahead of time how Andrea is planning to make me like Andy and fall in love with him so fast. “Should we go shopping for what we’ll wear to the picnic?” I suddenly heard Andrea ask beside me and I looked at her. Well, I almost forgot I went shopping with Andrea before the picnic but as far as I am aware of what will happen, nothing actually happened during the shopping. I guess the picnic is the main highlight.
