The evening passed without any more surprises and although Damien continued to stare at me intensely every time I approached to serve the table, he never spoke to me again. the table, he never spoke to me again. Aunt Meiry had told me that David had improved and had even managed to eat his dinner, which left me deeply relieved to go to work without any more worries. Around ten, everyone started to leave and the place became emptier and emptier until everyone left.
