Mary's body stiffened for a few seconds as she realized the man standing before her was the same man who had spent a hot night in that luxurious hotel room two months ago.
Mary swallowed, "No, I don't. I mean, we've never met before..."
"Is that true? Are you sure?" Dante leaned over, bringing his face close to Mary's, fixing his eyes carefully, and scrutinizing her closely.
Mary puckered up and broke out in a cold sweat, her heart praying that the man now looking at her would not remember her. Because what Mary had done was shameful.
"If you don't recognize me, why do you look scared?" Dante narrowed his eyes, voice intimidating.
"F- forgive me, sir, forgive me. Because I have desecrated you that night-"
Realizing that what Mary was saying was nonsense, Dante quickly covered Mary's mouth with the palm of his hand.
"What are you talking about?" Dante chuckled in annoyance as he realized the ice cream parlor patrons were now staring at them.
Dante let out a long sigh, then whispered, "Let's talk somewhere else!"
"No, I don't want to!" Mary shook her head.
"If you don't obey me, then I'll sue you for s****l harassment," Dante threatened, hissing under his breath.
"B-but..."
"Miss, let me borrow your friend, okay?" Dante said to Cassie, who was staring at the scene before her.
Dante pulled Mary, and the girl couldn't resist anymore but went with Dante to his car.
Dante pulled Mary towards the parking lot, and with his other hand, he pressed the button and opened the car door for Mary.
"Get in now!"
"I don't want to!"
"Come in!" Dante shouted.
"Do you want to kill me?"
Somehow, that question just came out of Mary's mouth.
"Don't be crazy. Does my face look like a psychopath?" Dante asked angrily.
Mary shook her head.
"Of course not. You are very handsome, sir." Mary thought.
"Mary, have a little sense! How can you think like this at a time!" Mary screamed inwardly.
"But, sir, I have to go back to the shop. My friend is waiting for me there."
"I'll take you back here," Dante said.
"What if I refuse?" asked Mary.
"Are you serious, wanting to test my patience, Miss?" Dante raised one eyebrow. Mary's stubbornness truly tested Dante's tissue-thin patience.
Mary gulped. Although handsome, Dante's hard attitude was enough to discourage Mary.
"No," Mary replied softly.
"Good, then let's go now."
Mary got into the car, and Dante immediately threw himself behind the wheel. Meanwhile, Mary was busy admiring the first luxury car she'd ever been in.
"Whose car is this? Why is it so cool?" Mary asked innocently.
"Whose car do you think it is? Do I look like a car thief?"
Mary shook her head.
"You're very sensitive, sir, like a woman on her period."
Dante growled in annoyance.
"Mary, can't you shut up?"
"Huh?" Mary screamed.
A scream that made Dante's ears hurt.
"How do you know my name?"
"Because I paid a lot of money to get information about you," Dante said, frightened Mary even more. Even though Dante just wanted to play a prank on Mary.

Not long after, the car driven by Dante stopped at a clinic.
The building was luxurious and looked exclusive.
"Why did you bring me to this place?" Mary asked in a high tone because of her surprise.
"Come with me!" Dante insisted.
"I don't want to!"
"Mary, can't you just obey me and don't fight back?"
"I just want to make sure of something," Dante lowered his tone because he realized that there was no point in yelling at Mary either. Because it would only make the girl scared of him.
"Make sure? About what?"
"Just come," Dante pleaded.
Reluctantly, Mary got out of the car and followed Dante's steps.
This time, Dante held Mary's hand to ensure the girl did not run away before meeting with the doctor, as Mary's arrival here resulted from Dante's intimidation.
"I want to see Doctor William," said Dante, mentioning his friend's name.
"Please wait a moment, sir. I'll put you on the queue list."
"I don't want to wait in line. Tell Doctor William, Dante Domany is looking for him."
The receptionist stared briefly, surprised to hear the man's name before her. A name that often appeared in business magazines.
"Well, Mr. Domany, you may have a moment."
The receptionist called Dr. William and soon came over to Dante.
"Mr. Domany, Dr. William is expecting you."
"Thank you."
"Come, come with me now," Dante said as he tightened his grip on Mary.
Dante and Mary carefully stepped into Doctor William's office. The room was decorated with shelves filled with medical books and various instruments.
"Hi, good afternoon. What can I help you, buddy?" Dr. William kindly greeted Dante, his high school friend.
Dante couldn't help but feel the knot forming in his stomach from nervousness. This was a moment to uncover the truth, a moment that could potentially change the course of his life.
His mind raged with many bad thoughts and anxieties, making it difficult to find the right words to express his worries.
"How are you doing, Dante?" Doctor William's warm voice filled the room, breaking Dante's reverie. His eyes crinkled in a smile, though there was a hint of curiosity as he glanced at Mary.
"I hope I'm okay, buddy. To make sure that I visit you today," Dante replied, trying to maintain a calm demeanor despite his turmoil.
Doctor William's eyes narrowed as he scanned Mary's unfamiliar face, searching for answers to unspoken questions.
There was an awkward atmosphere in the room as if the walls held their breath, waiting for Dante to reveal the purpose of their visit.
"I'd like to ask you a favor, mate," Dante finally spoke, his voice trembling slightly.
"Please check and confirm this girl's condition. I mean, please make sure she's not..." he paused, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air.
"Pregnant," Dante's last words escaped his lips like a burden being released, a confession weighing on his heart and mind. The room seemed to freeze.
Dr. William's gaze shifted from Dante to Mary, a mixture of shock and concern etched on his face. His mind raced to process what he had just heard.
"D-Dante, are you serious?" Dr. William finally managed to stammer out, his voice laced with disbelief. It was as if the ground beneath him had shifted, and he struggled to find solid footing amidst the chaos.
"Yes, and please keep this a secret from my family," Dante's plea hung in the air, tinged with vulnerability and desperation. His eyes locked with Dr. William's, begging for understanding and support.
