Clary had sat beside me sometime later. I don’t know how and I can’t remember why, but she was sitting right next to me without Terrence or anyone holding her back. Holding my hand like it was the most natural thing in the world, she slowly cupped my petite pale-growing face and, gently, she brought her lips towards mine. Bam!
