Chapter 24

“Sam!” Taylor’s little voice shrilled in the damp air, and from the tone of voice he used, I could tell he’d been there for a long time already. I hurriedly skated across the pavement, and stopped short beside my brothers who were huddling in front of the entrance way. I gave them a gallant smile as if they hadn't waited that long. “What took you so long?” Taylor complained. “Sorry little bro. I had things to take care of.” I muttered, pushing the silver keys into the door knob, and it clicked. “And besides, what time am I picking Leon up? Or is Logan doing that already?” Or maybe Dexter? Taylor shook his brown hair once they entered the warmth of the house. He took comfort in looking through the remaining food in the refrigerator though. And it seemed luck wasn't on his side at all.
