Cryptic Relationship

Lila has been assigned to another project. When she returned back to work, Tim acted as if nothing happened. This was a big relief to her; it made her focus on her new project. She realized she was over thinking. It was pure ‘human kindness’ that he let him stay with in his pad. It is to his detriment if this is made know to anyone.
Tim realized that Lila was avoiding her. He knew that she is probably embarrassed but he wanted to be closer. Such frustration caused his mood to swing. He is never a smooth talker but he certainly knows his way to ladies however he just could seem to get it right with Lila and so he chose to be cold with her. In a way he also wanted to protect her from any office gossip. He learned about the ugly discussion when they were spotted having dinner one time.
One day he called a meeting with few developers for a brown bag session. Ultimately, he wanted to spend time with Lila and create opportunity to talk so when the meeting ended, “Lila can you take BT design document from Jenny for me please? “
“Sure.”
He dismissed the group. His cold face melted as everyone headed outside. In few minutes Lila will be back, he smiled at the thought. Finally!
“Here it is. I’ll get going.” She was about to leave when she heard Tim’s voice.”
“So hurry to leave?”
“Huh…” Lila turned her back again to face him.
“Do you want to join project team in UK?”
This caused her eyes to glitter in surprise, “me…joining the BT project?”
“Yup.”
“Are you serious?”
“Do I ever joke with you?”
“No…never. Sorry I was surprised with the news.” Lila is a talented programmer. She is smart. She works hard no wonder she was hired fresh from graduation. The management recognizes her good work attitude and skills.
“I was advised of the team who will be going to UK and you were chosen by Director along with your team leader Christopher and senior developer Kevin.”
Lila was dreamy floating with the news, “do you want me to call Chris and Kevin?”
Tim looked at her happy face. Today she is wearing an oversized white polo almost like a dress on its own and skinny jean underneath. He is so attracted at her. Now he realized her eyes are like twinkling, her long lashes accentuate her eyes. Her skin tone is nude, not so white but not so dark. Today she is not in her usual ponytail, her youthful vibrance is exuding with her soft curls hanging just below her shoulder. She smiled making her prominent dimples on the right cheeks show.
“No, just wanted you to know. That happy?”
She nodded quickly few times not letting her dimples hide.
“You like it that much?”
She nodded again while saying, “yes!”
“Looking forward to it?”
“Yes!”
“So happy, should we date then?”
“Yes!”
“Good! I’ll message you when it’s time. Let’s knock time off together.”
“Huh? Knock off together…” What exactly did she say yes to?
Tim rose from his chair smiling at her dazed face. “There is no turning back.” He stepped closer to her and held both sides of her shoulder making her turn her back from him. With her flat shoes, Lila barely reached his chest. He moved his lips closer to her ears, “we are officially dating today little kitty.”
Lila could not manage to turn her head and look at Tim’s eyes. She walked slowly dazed of what she learned today. ‘She is going to UK! And she is dating Tim starting today?’ She was floating her way towards her station when Chris and Kevin appeared on the side of her station.
“Lila, I heard you are joining Kevin and I on UK project. Congratulations!” Chris proudly announced there was not reaction from Lila.
“Hey! You okay?” Kevin broke her bubble.
“Huh?! Sorry yeah looking forward to it.” She quickly smiled sweetly. The UK project was just an icing on top of the cake. She could not believe that Tim asked her out on date. He said dating starts today….so there will be next? The shock made her zone out many times today. The news broke and they were congratulated by most of the people around. They thought the good news sent her to cloud nine that she was caught spacing out in several instances.
Later that day, she received message from Tim on her mobile if asking if she is ready Lila replied, ‘I am picking some document at the second floor. I will go ahead and meet you at the parking?’

She quickly turned off her computer took her yellow backpack. Everything happened so fast and she don’t want another nasty gossip. In the first place she is unsure of the real score between them. Is dating considered a relationship? Her phone once again buzzed with message. Tim giving his car model and plate number.
Lila has nothing to do at the second floor, this is where the admin and facilities management office is. She bumped into a pretty lady while wasting some time.
“Hi there! Are you looking for someone in the department?”
The girl was in dainty dress light blue dress with a gray boyfriend’s jacket. She looked so pretty. Her complexion is like porcelain that is perfectly highlighted by her waist length straight locks.
“No, I just accidentally went out, I am waiting for my teammate’s message. I am Lila from IT.”
“I heard about you.” Jade flashed a sweet smile. “I am Jade, executive assistant to Logistic VP.”
Lila timely gets message from Tim, ‘Are you done?’ to which she replied she is coming shortly.
This started their unconventional dates and knocking off together from work. They created a binary code program that only the two of them could understand. This allowed them to know whether they will meet at the parking, to a café they would often frequent 300 meters away from the office or if he will pick her in the mall drop off point adjacent to their building. These are represented by combination of 0 and 1. Recently 1111 has been added, which refers to Tim’s pad.
