CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR The following day Steel woke early. It was still dark outside, and the air held a damp chill. The clock next to the bed showed it was half-past four. Steel found it an excellent time to go for a run. He’d gone out the same time the day before, and the conditions had been just right. He pulled himself out of the comfortable bed and headed for the bathroom. Moments later, Steel walked back into the room and headed over to the windows.
