Norrick´s body was in a sorry state, drained of strength and energy, his lips chapped from dehydration and bloodshot eyes opening every time he tried get to sleep. Not only was the curse forcing him to get back to Melliana but also was destroying his entire body and spirit.
"Dendrick!" Shouted Gellerion as he saw him getting out of the main building. "We have to do something with it. Just look at him! He is dehydrated and starving. The f*cking curse won´t let him do anything except the thing he shouts at us all the time."
His voice increased in volume, and as he became angrier, veins accentuated on his muscular arms. "Maybe we should free him and infatuated Norrick will lead us to the b*tch! We will get how to break the spell from her even if I should tear her with my own bare hands!" Breathed deeply. Anger clouded his mind, and dark purple gleam flashed through his eyes.
"Young man, that´s exactly what she wants us to do." Calmed him Dendrick as he noticed the flash.
"What? How do you know?"
"In my opinion, her main interest lies in you, Norrick was just an obstacle, to kidnap you."
"But why would she want me? I don´t get it."
"Think for a moment, Gellerion. Has something special happened around you so far?" Smirked Dendrick a little.
"Well, yes. The extreme growth, the incident with spiders and the thing with scratch when I was playing in your garden. That´s basically all I know about." He gave it a thought and short after frowned. "Is there something else?"
"What scratch?"
"As I fell from the tree, I hurt my leg, but after a few seconds, the wound was gone. Nothing serious though and don´t turn away from the question."
"Norrick told me about the day he found you in a burnt village. No one survived it, not even the goblins, who attacked it. He also mentioned strange symbols carved in their bodies with the same colour that appeared in your eyes just a few minutes earlier."
Both standing still outside, in front of the house, they heard softly said word.
"Water," uttered Norrick. "Water," nothing else came out of his mouth now. Gellerion quickly leapt to him with a flask of water. He was so excited from this progress while every time before when he tried to quench his thirst, Norrick spat everything out, and suddenly he wanted to drink by himself.
Immediately after, Norrick coughed. Later on, he looked up, blinked several times as he came to his senses, his eyes were clear now. Frowned a little, and with a lot of effort whispered:
"I know your face." Slowly placed his hand on the boy´s cheek. "Gellerion," slightly smiled.
Gellerion just smiled, holding his tears of happiness back.
"My eyes darken again."
Now his smile was slowly disappearing, and his happy mood rapidly turned to grief.
"No... No!"
"Gellerion... my body and spirit is broken."
Gazing in each other's eyes, Gellerion began shedding tears, and his lips were shaking with sorrow.
"You have to let me go."
The boy wasn´t able to speak, only an inaudible "no" left his mouth.
"I go to my family." Gazing into the unknown said: "No parents should outlive their child." Finishing the sentence, his eyes turned back at the boy´s direction, gasping for breath.
Tears were running down boy´s cheeks.
With one last breathing out: "Gelleri..."
...
Life faded away from his eyes.
Crying now, Gellerion collapsed on Norrick, looking in the same direction with empty sight.
