His eyes still dark, Norrick kept shouting the same thing all over again.
"Let me get back to Melliana. I love her! Let me go!" Sometimes a few insults came out of his mind but soon got back to his most favourite sentence. "I love her."
Gellerion was forced to disarm and tie his friend, when tried to escape the homestead. They both couldn't recognize the man lying in front of them. This wasn't Norrick. Not at all. At first look it was the man they knew, and yet so different.
"What happened to him, and why is he acting so strange, Dendrick?" Even though he tried to find a bit of sense in all of this, he was completely confused.
"I can't be sure, boy, but it is obvious Melliana's dark magic has to do something with it. Nevertheless, I am not a magician. There is nothing we can do right now, except for waiting and praying to Shaikea for his safe passing through this state."
"Alright, I have only one question. Who the hell is it?"
Shaikae was the goddess of wine, harvest, and also a protector from everything bad. This was the reason why Dendrick prayed to her every time before bed and possibly why he had such a good crop.
There were only a few more Gods and Goddess in Eden. The most believed in was the God of honesty and courage, mighty Toundrés, very popular among soldiers and on the west side of Eden, where the Capitol was. The God of spunk had one sibling, his sister, Shaikae. She was incredibly beautiful and became the Goddess of wisdom and beauty. Together they had three children, Raoster, Hávia, and Inain, once named by his parents Rios, but he hated them so much, he despised everything connecting him with his blood-related and so called himself Inain. Soon after he killed his brother, Raoster, was banished to the deep ends of Elysei, the place, where the souls of the biggest sinners were and where he became the God of anger, hate, and dark magic, indicating all bad. In contrast to Inain, Hávia, his sister, was the Goddess of light magic, wishes, and dreams. She was the only one who came in touch with humans, usually.
After some time spending with Norrick, shouting at them still the same, Gellerion and Dendrick decided to have some rest after the extremely adventurous but hard day. They both went into the main building. The boy still supporting Dendrick while he was in a bad condition, glanced behind on the ranger, trying to get rid of the rope, tying him to the wooden pillar. After, Gellerion with a miserable expression kept in their way.
The boy helped Dendrick to sit down on his bed and brought him some refreshment. Hearing Norrick screaming, Gellerion asked once more.
"Are you sure there is nothing that could help him?"
"Of course there is something, but as far as I know, we aren't magicians. Only the one who did it to him or somebody even more powerful could break the curse, at least I think so."
"Curse? The b***h! You think she bewitched him?"
"Yes, I do and either he will make it through by the strength of his mind or we will have to find somebody who will take care of it."
"Do you know anybody?" Asked the boy with worry.
"I know only one person in Eden who could help us, but he is far, really far from here."
Gellerion´s eyes softened. "But he would help him."
"Yes, but not today. It's almost night. Let's get some sleep, boy. You have to remain strong while I am weakened and Norrick cursed, you are our the only hope in case of attack."
"Alright, I will rest here with you. Who knows how much more could I take from Norrick's insults." Said with sorrow tone in his voice.
"It is hard to see someone you know, someone you like in such a condition, but trust me, he will make it. He is too stubborn to submit to the curse and now, don´t bother yourself with it. Good night."
"The problem is, he is the only person except you, I know. I hope he will. I wish… good night."
After some time Dendrick fell asleep, but Gellerion didn´t while he was struggling in his mind mostly about Norrick. He couldn´t resist, hearing the lament from outside. He took a lantern, opened the doors, approached Norrick and sat in front of him. When the ranger spotted him, his wailing got even louder: "Please, set me free. I beg you! I have to get back to my darling." His voice changed as he was more and more desperate, being separated from his "lover". "If you won´t let me go then just kill me."
"KILL ME!" shouted.
Gellerion just answered with a calm voice. "I am aware of the fact your mind was darkened, but I also know you are strong enough to break through the curse. Don´t you recognize me?" This was a silly question from the boy since Norrick didn´t see his second enormous change into a young man and he realised it. "Of course you don´t, but I am the boy you often reprimanded and also annoyed you with his garrulousness." Even though it wasn´t much they went through together, it still brought tears to his eyes, seeing him like that. The ranger shut his wailing for a while. Looking at the boy in front of him, being close to tears, his darkened eyes brightened, and the man whispered. "Gellerion." The boy lifted his head and smirked on his friend. "Yes, that´s me," smiled.
Unfortunately, after a short period of time, Norrick´s eyes turned completely black again, and his habitual scream began once again.
"PLEASE KILL ME." shouted with lachrymose tone.
Hearing that was a torture for him, but the young man decided to spend some time with him, seeing the chance to wake him from the coma up. He placed his hand on the groaning man. "You are going to be alright, friend." After finishing the sentence, a dark blue, impossible to see glint went from his hand to the Norrick´s shoulder.
The next day morning, Dendrick woke up played out. Narrowing his eyes, he looked for Gellerion in the room, unsuccessfully. He wasn't able to get out of his bed. His legs hurt like a hell. It was a while since he used his shape till collapse and now he remembered why. After ten minutes sitting on the bed, he managed to get on his legs and directed to the main doors. Seeing the Gellerion and Norrick together, made a smile appear on his face. You could not help yourself, boy, said for himself.
