Mystery

Even though it would ease Norrick´s situation, he was concerned about the child. When searching the whole house, he uttered a question... "Where are you ?" with a worried voice.

Soft "Down here," could be heard from somewhere in the building. Stunned by hearing the voice, he didn´t notice the direction from where the sound came out. No one else, except him, was able to speak there. 

"Who the hell are you?" asked ranger with alarmed tone and unsheathed his light sword. "Show yourself!" 

"I am here," again softly said, but this time the ranger spotted the place, from where it was echoing. With the weapon in his hand, he got on his knee and looked under the bed. There was a naked boy lying prone. It wasn't the baby he left, this one was much older, maybe around seven years old, with already grown, very dark, black hair.

"Where is Gellerion?!" he questioned him rapidly without taking a moment to think clearly. 

"It´s me. Don´t you recognize me?"  child looked at him with its wide blue eyes, simultaneously playing with something between its hands. 

Now Norrick remembered the day he saved him. The baby was looking at him with its innocent, wide blue eyes, exactly the same eyes that were staring on the adult man now. 

"It is you." sighed with relief and sheathed the blade. "What happened here? Why are you naked? HOW THE HELL YOU GREW UP SO FAST?!" almost shouted the last sentence as he had so many questions, when suddenly a new one came to his mind. Now he saw what the boy was playing with. 

"Are these the creatures I think?" "Well, I can´t see inside your head." quickly answered the boy. "Are you playing with spiders? They were actually tiny if the boy wants he could kill them easily with just one hand. "How is it... that they are this small?" another question left ranger´s mouth. These were exactly the same monsters as the one, he met on his journey, apart from the size.   

"I don´t know... They were breaking into the house when I woke up. Being able to hide under the bed, I did so. I was so scared, but after they came close to me, they suddenly shrank to this size. I am sorry, but I am not able to answer any of your questions. All I remember was the way under the bed and then playing with the spiders."  Norrick didn't want to risk spider´s enlargement so he decided to kill them quickly with his hand, but somebody felt the loss of their lives, and it wasn´t Gellerion. 

The man now pulled the boy out of his hiding place and covered him once again with his dark green cloak this time, fitting much better than to the baby. 

Norrick searched his old clothes in an effort finding some that could fit Gellerion, but it couldn´t of course. Even though the boy was almost half of ranger´s height by now, it still wasn´t enough. "I am sorry, but these must last for now." "It´s fine and funny a little, I look bigger!" the boy chuckled. "Yea, you surely do," assured him ranger and also smirked. "We have to visit Dendrick. It is not far away, don´t worry." 

Maybe he will know what happened here,  he said quietly for himself.
