Kill them all

1034 Words
Damien's POV I went to in a panic, searching around me but she was nowhere to be found. I let out a deafening, pained roar as I ran around the beach trying to find her to not prevail. Serenity was nowhere and it pained me. My best friend, Robert, came running up to me. "What’s wrong, Damien, are you OK?" "No, where is she?" He looked at me like I had grown a second head and asked, "Where is who?" Now it was my turn to look at him like he lost his ever loving mind, "Serenity, the woman I came here with," I answered him, earning a confused look from him. "Boss, you came here alone and slept out here wanting to be alone." "No, I came with a woman. I was going to propose until those weird people came and everything got dark." I explained, but seeing his look, I knew he still didn't believe it, so I pulled out the box and showed him. His face started switching between shock, disbelief, and finally realization and anger. "Witches, " we both said at the exact same time. Suddenly, we heard a voice coming from the water, "Hello? Anyone there?" We both looked at each other and ran over to the ocean side. My heart was down in my stomach. "Serenity, is that you? Where are you?" I asked in a panic before I finally spotted her reflection in the water. "Oh, thank Goddess Damian. I have been trying to reach someone for a day now," she said, making me feel even more anxious and embarrassed. "As for where I am, I am not sure. They are keeping me in a cell, but judging by the view out my window, there is a lake nearby. There is a lot here and, from what I heard, I only have a week before they do whatever they are planning." That caused my panic to spike more, "I'll find you Serenity. I am coming to find you and I swear I'll kill them all." Serenity nervously glanced over her shoulder, "I don't have much time before they come back to check on me but Damien, I have to tell you before they do. If this is my last time talking to you or seeing you," she paused with tears in her eyes, "I love you Damien. " "Don't say that! I will save you!" I roared as she disappeared. Robert placed his hand on my shoulder. "I see why you were freaking out, she is so beautiful and fragile looking. We will save her," he swore before I saw a light click in his eyes. "Did she say a lake?" I couldn't talk and didn't really know where he was getting at. "Damien, there is only one lake anywhere within a days drive here. She has to be there," he said, and hope finally shined in my eyes. "Gather warriors and enlist in Max's help. Have everyone meet in front of his packhouse in 1 hour. I am going to get Selest. We could definitely use a witch's touch." "Yes sir!" "We are going to get my princess back!" I said with finality before we both took off in opposite directions. He was headed to the packhouse, I was headed to Selest's shop at the end of the beach. It didn't take much convincing for Selest and in exactly 45 minutes, they and Selest were waiting in front of the packhouse for Max and the warriors to gather. After everyone got there, I held up my hand to silence them, "Silence, I have gathered you all here because there has been an attack and I am in need of your assistance. " Everyone began muttering until Max growled, silencing them again. I nodded my appreciation to him before continuing. "As you all probably know, now, I have found my mate, whom you all know is Serenity, " I waited to see their reaction and a few of them nodded, but there were three in the back that looked nervous, causing me to smirk. I stopped pacing in front of them and kept my eyes trained on them as I finished, "She was kidnapped last night by the dark magicians." At that, I heard someone three people up from me shout, "Let them keep her! She is nothing but a trouble maker!" and the three I was watching smirked and nodded, causing me to growl, which silenced everyone. I then turned towards a guard, "Lock them up for treason," and Robert ran up to me. "Why are you...." he started, then trailed off as realization dawned on him and he growled out, "They tipped them off." "Yep. You see, the only people who would have known where I was were my people, the warriors that were patrolling and Max. I didn't even make reservations." Max then growled and stormed up to them, punching them as the guards dragged them to the dungeon. "What's the plan, your highness?" "The plan is we are going to rescue Serenity and all those filthy magicians are going to pay for thinking they can even touch her." I said with determination as everyone lined up again. They stood straight, watching and listening to me as I explained what happened. From the dinner date and ruined proposal, which got more then a few awes, to waking up with Serenity gone and Robert not remembering Serenity being there. And even further to Serenity using the water to communicate and describe where she was. "Does anyone know of any cells around Lunar lake? That's the nearest lake to us." I asked and looked around. Max had a very conflicted expression but he spoke up, nonetheless. "Isn't that the lake on MoonShadow pack land?" He asked, but that confused us all as he continued, "This makes no sense. Why would Alpha James get involved with this? I thought he hated witches ever since Luna...." he began, but I cut him off. "Alpha James stepped down. Now his son Zander is in charge." I informed him and realization dawned on his face. Everyone knew Zander and his dad fought because Zander's belated mate, Jasmine, was a witch.
