"I'm so mad right now. I am the owner of this company, and he can't make any decision that I will not approve!" Allen Right said over the phone, mad and shouting. "Relax, Mr. Right. I don't even know what's happening." Lena Jin said. She's walking towards their office door. She had to put away the phone in her ears to open the door - her other hand holding a folder full of papers. "No, they can't do this to me. Everything I do is for the company's good!" Allen said. Lena could hear his loud voice even if her phone was not yet in her ears. Lena sat down on the chair and put down her things. "Mr. Right, calm down for a second. Can you at least tell me what happened? So can we think of a solution if this is a problem?" Lena said, standing, stretching her waist. Riiiinnng!!!! Lena could hear the telephone ringing over the phon, now her hand on her waist. "Oh s**t, here, he is calling. I'll call back, I need to get this phone call." Allen said in a mellowed tone. "Wait, Mr. Right," Lena said. She heard someone talking other than Allen, but she couldn't understand any work, it sounded more of a noise. Lena inhaled to ask if he was with someone and who it was but Mr. Right already hanged up the phone. Lena sighed, sat down at her table. She opened her laptop and read through her emails. "Right Events Management and Event Scapes, Inc. in a possible merger." This is the first email she read. Kinda explains why Mr. Right is so pissed. Mr. Right's company, which specializes in events management as his company name suggests, has been in the industry for three years. He still has to prove that this company is one of the best, but since inflation and market prices went up, few and few people really want their events to be managed as they prefer to self-manage their own. And me? I am Mr. Right's assistant. I don't think I had any other choice when this happened. Yes, he is grumpy, but like what they say, you tend to appreciate the few moments he smiles. Knooock. Knoock. "Lena, good you are here, we have a visitor and Mr. Right seems to be not happy about it." Maya Lee said, peeking at the door. Lena put her hand on her chin and let out a sigh. "Okay. Time to check on Mr. Right I guess." Lena stood up. She and Maya started walking down the hall. "You know," Maya said in a whispering tone. "You're the only one that can tame the beast." Maya continued. "Hmm. Let's see if it works this time." Lena said, then she took one more step to open the door just right in the hallway. "This meeting is dismissed! I don't want to hear anything from you soon!" Mr. Right shouted as Lena opened the door. Lena saw a man standing. Tall, wearing casual clothes, and it seems this is not a business meeting but by Mr. Right's tone, well, it is. Allen, also standing, looked at Lena at the door. The man also looked over, curious who it is that made Allen's wrinkly forehead relax. "Evan, this is Katerina, my assistant," Allen said in a friendly tone. "Hi, Just Lena." She said, trying to smile to cool down the room's energy. "Hi, I'm Evan." The man said, smiling. "I should go now." Evan said, fixing his shirt. He leaned down to get his bag on the floor. "But please, Allen, think of this positively." Evan said, reaching out for Allen's hand. "Bye, Mr. Right." But Allen did not reach out Evan's hand. The wrinkles in his forehead came back, but he remained silent. Evan looked at his hand, realizing Allen would not shake his hand, put it down and slowly went for the door. "Nice meeting you, Lena." Evan smilingly said as he passed Lena at the door. Lena just shook her head, trying to smile. She walked towards Allen and Allen pounded his table with both of his hands. "So, I guess it's the newsletter I got in the email?" Lena said, trying to slow down her words. "They don't have a right to do this behind my back. I am the owner of Right Events Management!" Allen said in a mad tone. "Mr. Right, please relax. We have to know first why the merger is needed." Lena said, as she sat down in a chair in front of Allen's table. "Unless.. You know why.." Lena continued. Allen sat down too, thinking angrily. "I don't know why. Dad called, and he said the merger is final, but there's no date yet." Allen said in a bit softer voice. "The company's profit is not so high but, we're not making losses, too." Lena said, trying to cheer up Mr. Right. "What's our schedule?" Allen asked. "Today, Monday, at 11am, food tasting for the upcoming wedding of Ms. Trish." Lena said as she opened up her phone. "And tomorrow, we'll start setting up the event for the wedding." Lena continued, scrolling down her phone with her fingers. "It will be at Eve Gardens, on Wednesday," Lena said. "After this, do we have another one?" Allen asked as he put his hand on his chin, thinking. "Yes, Mr. Right. After this, there's two more." Lena continued to scroll through her phone. "One more event, a birthday celebration this Friday. Sweet sixteen. Annd." Lena paused for a moment. "And a farewell party for a CEO of a company on Sunday," Lena said. "See Mr. Right? We are busy. We will leverage this to the management to stop the merger." Lena looked at Allen. "You don't know how much you are helping me now, Lena." Allen said as he looked at Lena's hand and reached to touch her hand. Lena tries to hide her smile. "I do not know what I would do without you. Please stay with me." Allen said as they locked eyes. "Mr. Right, you know I will never go anywhere." Lena said, trying to control her feelings. Riiiiinggg!!! "But for now, take this call and I will start to follow up the restaurant for the food test later." Lena said as she stood up. "Okay." Allen said as he let go of her hand. Allen smiled. Today. Lena could hear whispers before she reached the door. "Shh. Shhhh." Lena opened up the door, and it was Maya, with Jet, Mr. Right's driver. "Hmmm.." Lena said as she closed Mr. Right's office door. "It's Jet's fault! I told him to stop eavesdropping on." Maya said as she clenched her hand in her file folder in her chest. Lena looked at Jet and her him out. "Ma'am, I'm just a bit scared when Mr. Right is mad." he said, scratching his head. "So Maya gambled with me. If you can calm Mr. Right down, I'll treat her to lunch today." Jet continued as he looked at Maya. Lena looked at Maya, shaking her head. "At least! Mr. Right mood went from scary to calm, yes? So, we all won. The beast has been tamed. Wohooo!" Maya said in a cheerful tone as she raised her hand and walked rapidly in the hallway.
