I had never imagined when it all started that I would not only end up with a beast for soulmate, but giving birth to one. It was something none of us considered when it all started, but then I became pregnant and I had to wonder about it. It had been eight years since Blaze had found me, eight years since the first beasts found that a witch was their fated mate, and almost seven since I had given birth to my son. He wasn't the first one born of the union of a beast and a witch, that honor went to Dram's and Crim's daughter, but they had been the first ones to accept their bond, so it was only fair they had the honor of having the first child of the new era.
