I felt a little lighter after talking with Rafe. I had been doing my best to stay clear of him as too much was running through my head, and of course, I was overthinking everything. When I saw him in the dining area, I had to suck in breath and calm myself down. A part of me wanted to run up to him, and a part still wanted to run away from him.
But talking to him wasnt so bad, I will admit I was ready for an awkward or tense conversation, but it was neither, it was subtle and calming and easy. Even though Im not sure why he was asking about Trinity, and I can't believe I said what I did about her, I saw his jaw clenching when the words left my mouth.
