The night had been long and cold and I forced myself to sleep despite the rather absurd sounds that filled up the room from the vicinity around where I was, call it whatever it was but at that moment my heart had turned cold with the freezing temperatures of the room. Only by crawling under my duvet had I found sleep, though it didn't come to me just the way that I had anticipated- I did open my eyes finally and it was to try early sunlight that morning finding its way into the room, since I woke with a start from a deep sleep, I had blinked in confusion at the surroundings at first. It was funny how I had spent up to a month around here and it was still leaving me feeling rather unsettled. It was our bedroom quite alright, but then at the same time there was a different feeling to it that I haven't felt in the past few days that he was away. With that same thought at the back of my mind, I had sighed peacefully before taking a deep breath while shutting my eyes. At that same moment, a noise from the foot of the bed drew my attention and my eyes had opened abruptly. Different feelings had filled my heart that moment at who the intruders might be enough that I haven't paid too much attention to the scent of the room that morning— Right there at the end of the bed with my heart still pacing racing at that moment with the speed of light. Looking down at the edge of the bed I was greeted with the rear view of a very well-built and very familiar man. I had blocked out other feelings at the back of my mind and looked at the sight of the man again, the sight stunned me and I was confused of how to act at that moment. Should I embrace him? He had a smirk on his face, one that sent shivers down my spine as I remembered recent events. “You are quite a heavy sleeper, been watching you sleep for the past three hours." Past three hours! I realized that it hadn't been a dream afterall, the last moment that I had been asleep I could have sworn that I could perceive him, it was interesting to see that it wasn't a dream. Ethan was there surreal, he was back from his trip. I groaned. “Welcome back home, you took longer." I complained, running my finger through my hair I let my head sink back onto the pillow and silently studied the man who was standing before me still dressed “Looks like someone missed me ." He smiles. As he did I watched him get away from the side of the bed, my mind was still trying to comprehend all that was happening at that moment. I stared at him , his muscles rippled across his back and his taut buttocks. His legs were long and I couldn't help but imagine how ripped and sturdy it was,. also giving evidence of his strength, I blinked for a minute as his lower anatomy disappeared from view under a pair of briefs, he glanced my way and caught me watching him. “Do you want to join me in the shower?” “Uh-huh. What time is it?” My voice was raspy, my throat still tight from my earlier emotions as I didn't know what to comprehend what was going on at that moment, or what he wanted. “Well I don't feel like taking a bath at this moment -" I had muttered at that moment, still trying to understand what he wanted. “Well, in that case, I suppose I should tell you. Otherwise you might ask questions of this much later … You should get yourself ready. We have a ball party later this evening.” As he spoke he walked away to the bathroom and I was still trying to understand what was happening. “How do you expect me to get ready so quickly?” I asked but he said nothing as he walked away . I sat up still thinking about h visit dropped right there- “Just get the maids what you need and they'll get it ." He called out from the bathroom. At first I wanted to let things go but then again I have an inquiring mind and wouldn't just let him away with making certain decisions. “Why would you just make decisions that way and expect that everyone would follow through with what you are saying.” He muttered. He gave me a smirk that indicated he wasn’t planning on backing down. He sighed and finished up with brushing. “Well, I am the alpha…is that enough point?” I had gotten up Irritated by how he had sounded - he was turning to face me at that moment, his arms crossed in resignation. “You aren’t going to leave this alone, are you?” “Yes, till you tell me why you think this is right." He might be the Alpha, but I wasn’t going to let him walk all over me like he was trying to do —I’d come to that decision earlier in the morning—and there was no time like the present to start showing that Joe backbone, especially since he still had that home turf advantage. He rubbed his hands over his face then walked to the window and stared outside while speaking. He had that look on his face that gave nothing away at that moment, and I was doing all I could but find answers to the one look that made him . I shut my eyes when I got to where I was , by now he was standing too close. All I needed to do was inhale, and I would take all his scent in. “You seem to have a very sharp tongue." He smirked, stepping even closer. " I am … I didn't mean it that way." My words sounded blurry. It didn't look like he was interested in the words anyway, the gaze in his eyes dimmed from the jovial one from earlier to a more serious look. His hands crawl round my throat as he grips.
