Out In The Cold

AURORA'S POV I can't believe that Alex wanted to take advantage of me because I see no reason why he sneaked up to my room and did that to me. The chief cook has really saved my life today, despite the fact that she's a lot to tolerate. At least I'm still thankful to her. I know I don't have any other option coming here, but the last thing I will do is to allow Alex to have me. I seriously do not want Lisa to pounce on me because of Alex. 'Come on Rora, you need to fight for us. ''Lisa can't be your problem right now,' my wolf, Aura, said, and I couldn't help but shut her up. 'Enough Aura, how could you say such things when you know exactly what he did to us? I could have lost you. You weren't responding or have you forgotten about all that?,' I asked and she remained silent. I finished up what I was doing in the kitchen and retired for the night. I had a lot of drama today and my body really felt so weak that I slept off immediately. I found myself in front of a huge house. It was the pack house I had lived in with my family for years. We were all happy together, and immediately I saw an elderly man coming in my direction. I noticed who he was immediately, and I ran to go hug him. "Daddy...daddy," I said, and embraced him with a big hug. "Hey, my star girl." "Where have you been daddy? I have missed you. I have been suffering since you and mom left. "It's hard daddy,"I said, still holding onto him. "I miss you more baby. Always know that I'm with you, and you don't need to worry about anything." "But I can't see you daddy," "You don't have to see me. You can feel me, I'm right here in your heart." "No... Daddy, I want to see you. Who will protect me now that I can't see you? Who?" "You should go with him, baby," he pointed to someone who was coming in our direction. When I noticed it was Alex with a smirk on his face, I couldn't help but become so scared. When I turned back to call my daddy to save me, he wasn't there anymore. "DADDY..." I screamed. I jerked up from my sleeping position and heaved a huge sign of relief, when I realized it was just a dream. But why exactly would I dream of Alex of all people? I checked the time and saw that it was already seven in the morning. I was already late to make breakfast and I knew that I was in serious trouble. I quickly stood up from the bed and ran towards the kitchen. "Late again?," the chief cook asked me, and I didn't know what exactly to answer her. "You didn't even bother to get a thick sweater to cover yourself," she said, and I was surprised that she even cared about me a little. Before I could get to work, Lisa brought herself into the kitchen. "Ohh...you are here. "You think you can steal from me and go free you I***t." She said, stamping her feet to the ground in anger. I was so shocked to hear that because I had never stolen anything from anyone before, and I won't start now. "But...I...I," before I could finish my statement, I received a very hot slap on my cheeks which landed me on the ground. "You...you... "Go into her room and search for my necklace," she said as she pointed to two guards standing by her opposite side. They bowed their heads immediately and went straight to my room and within five minutes they came out with the necklace. "But...I didn't know how that...got into my room," I said, trying to defend myself. I was as shocked as she was. "You...I***t, you said, you don't know? "So how did it get to your room?" She asked, but this time I could see the anger in her eyes. I couldn't say anything because she refused to believe a word I said. "Mute right?, take her." She ordered the guards. Throw her outside in the cold with no food or water. When she suffers from a cold she will learn to tell the truth." They bundled me like a criminal while I was still trying to defend myself and threw me outside to serve punishment. No one wanted to believe me, no one cared about me. The cold was so much that I didn't know what else to do. I was almost freezing after like about an hour. I was so lost in thought that I didn't know when Alex approached me. "What exactly are you doing out here in the cold?" He asked me and I didn't even bother responding. There was no need for him to pretend that he cared about me. "I won't ask you again," he said, and still I remained silent. He immediately turned his back on me without saying anything else. As usual, there was no need to pretend in the first place. 'I don't know why you are really stubborn. 'He just wanted to help us, but instead you snubbed him,' Aura said. 'Shut up,' I yelled at her. I'm so sure Alex wanted something in return, something I can't give to him, something that would make me regret if I actually fell into his trap and that's why he's trying to be nice to me. I can't give him whatever he wants, so it's better that I don't answer him. I stood out in the cold still waiting for a miracle to happen or for Lisa to change her mind. I kept thinking about how the jewelry was found in my room. I feel someone must have put it there to frame, but who? Alex came to my mind because he was the only one that came to my room, but I didn't want to believe it was him. I was so lost in thought that I didn't know when a huge jacket was placed on me. I turned immediately to see who it was and, to my surprise, I wasn't expecting it to be him. "O.M.G, Nathan!”
