Alpha Alex Is My Mate

AURORA'S POV

"No...this can't happen. I can't be mated to this evil Alpha.”

"No," I whispered, making Lisa turn to face me. "What did you just say?"

"No... nothing," I responded quickly, making her roll her eyes and turn to face the alpha.

"Baby, you really wanted this girl to come back to this house, but ever since she came back she has been trouble. I can't tolerate her anymore." She whines and complains to him, but he doesn't say anything. I noticed he was actually lost in thought like I was too.

"What are you still doing here, you murderer?" "You are lucky that Alpha Alex is nice and won't want to send you back to where you actually belong to," Lisa says as she turns to face me and looks at me with so much hatred. So his name is Alex. It was then I remembered Tina saying that Alex was her brother years back and, from the looks of things, they actually looked alike.

I felt so hurt and so betrayed that Tina was really behind all this from the start. She has never loved me as a friend. I really took her as a sister, but she didn't think twice to stab me. I picked up the bucket and mop I had brought earlier and made my way out of his room.

'Rora, you need to talk to Alpha Alex. 'He is our mate,' my wolf Aura said, and I couldn't help but cry silently. I never imagined that the moon goddess would really pair me with such a wicked person who had wanted me dead.

'He might not be that bad,' Aura said, but no matter what, he would definitely not be nice to me. Look at me now. I feel very helpless. No one cares about me and I can't even be mated to him no matter what, because of what he did to me.

I gulped down my pride, wiped my tears and began to finish up with the rest of the things I was asked to do. At this point, it was already getting late, and I needed to dish the Alpha's food before he freshened up immediately.

I made my way to the kitchen and got everything ready. I didn't want him to set his eyes on me again today, so I needed to set his food on the dining immediately.

"Why are you wearing that rag to dish Alpha Alex's food?" One of the chief cooks asked. She always hates to see me looking dirty when I'm in the kitchen. "But..." I tried to explain to her that I didn't have any good clothes to wear, but she didn't care to listen to me. "You look so disgusting, quickly go and change before I inform madam Tina. You need to look presentable, and I'm also sure that the Alpha would want that," she said as she looked at me from up to down.

I lowered my head and sighed, "Now! I***t, you have ten minutes and do well to get back here immediately." She said, making me jump.

"Yes ma'am," I said as I left her presence immediately and went straight to my room, not knowing what to wear.

My eyes widened when I saw my room open. I went inside and shut the door behind me, not knowing that someone was inside.

"Why do you look so scared of me, Aurora," I heard a voice from behind me and, before I could know who it was, he grabbed me immediately and my body was so close to his.

My heart began beating rapidly against my chest as he buried his nose in my hair. I tried to move out of his grip, but he was just too strong.

"Stop being stubborn Aurora," he growled, and it made me shiver.

He immediately turned me to face him and my doubts didn't fail me. I knew it was Alex. I quickly put my head down, not wanting to look at him.

"Look at me," he ordered in a commanding voice, but I still maintained my position, looking down.

"Are you scared of me," he asked again, and I nodded my head, still looking down.

"Then if you're not, look at me; Now!," he commanded again, his voice so deep. I threw my face up to look at him immediately and when our eyes met, I could feel the warmth in his eyes. His whole expression was really confusing me. He had a girlfriend, so why is he here? It must actually be the mate bond because it's also affecting me too.

He gently touched my face and at some point I felt I liked it, but when I remembered what he did to me, I turned my face to my left.

He brought my face back to face him, and he placed his finger on my lips that I had been biting earlier due to fear. He rubbed it gently and at this point I was praying that a distraction should just happen so that he would let me be.

"Stop hurting yourself," he said in a very low tune that I couldn't quite hear. As he brought his lips closer to mine gently, a knock on the door suddenly separated us. I was so glad whoever was at the door.

I quickly opened the door and made my way out while the chief cook who had knocked earlier kept looking at me with a confused look.

I tried to calm myself down, noticing that my heart was really beating so fast. I realized that I had been sweating all along due to being overwhelmed by the unbearable heat in my room, and I was glad that our lips didn't end up touching each other.

“Why exactly did you waste so much time,” the chief cook asked me as she stared at me from head to toe.

“The Alpha will soon be out, and you didn't even change your clothes,” she said as she pointed to what I was putting on.

“I'm sorry…I…I didn't have any,” I responded to her as I followed her immediately back to the kitchen. She kept quiet and didn't bother saying anything to me. I put everything in order and went over to place it on the dining table, but to my surprise, Alex was already seated at the table. It was then I remembered that there was actually a secret passage to my room other than the main entrance.
