Lurch hurried through the trees to the main house, shivering in the cool evening air because he hadn’t taken the time to dry his hair after his rushed shower. He was late and could only hope there would be food left. But he hadn’t wanted to show up to dinner as dirty and grimy has he’d been after dealing with the pipes in the barn.
