Lurch stepped out of the bunkhouse and saw the little vehicle pulling out of the circular driveway and leaving the ranch. He wondered who it had been and why they’d been here. Tuck wasn’t around. Did London have a friend visiting? Whoever it was hadn’t stayed long. The car had not been here an hour ago when he’d come down from the house.
Dismissing it as not something to worry about, Lurch went about his business making sure that that Stretch, Watt, and Ghost were doing the jobs he assigned them. After making sure they were busy with what they were supposed to be doing, he went back to his computer and hunting for the magnet they would need to fix the roof.
