Kerry flipped through Lurch’s Netflix Continue Watching list, as well as his watch it again list while she waited for him to come back with the cards. He said he’d played cribbage before but didn’t have a board. She didn’t mind. She could keep score with a piece of paper, or they didn’t have to keep score if he didn’t want.
She still hadn’t settled on anything to watch when he came back, a deck of cards in one hand and a mini-legal pad in the other, a pen clipped to the edge of the pad.
“Sorry it took so long. I couldn’t remember where I’d put the cards,” Lurch said as he sat beside her on the sofa. “We can pull the coffee table up or just face each other here.”
“Here is fine.” She turned sideways on the sofa to give him her attention.
“Did you find something to watch?”
“Nothing excit
