A couple days after Kerry spent the night at Lurch’s new home, she was driving home after dinner thinking about Lurch. He had told her he had a couple things to do yet, but he would be less than half an hour behind her. She’d offered to stay so they could ride together, but he’d told her to go ahead. He would follow when he was done. She had been on the highway less than ten minutes when a vehicle came up behind her and rode her bumper all the way back into town. She thought he was just another asshole who thought everyone drove too slow, but as she turned off the highway and started making her way toward her apartment.
