Chapter two

Nathaniel's pov.

And in the Early mornings of the next day i sent a word from my messenger. That barcode noon he should find Winifred. Carl was my trusted messenger. He had his eyes and ears on ground and would be able to deliver the message on time. I wanted Winifred back by all cause regardless of which pack she has suddenly found herself in.

"I need you to find Winifred for me. Know her whereabouts, and identify to me which pack you find her in"I spoke to Carl. We spoke outside because no one would understand our words clearly.

Carl had red eyes and very short hair. Some say his Red eyes were due to his mother's struggle to bring him to the world. Whatever it was with his eyes made him stand out. But I believe he had a Keen sight and was able to detect something the rest of us couldn't see.

"I'll do exactly as you've asked of me My King" he bowed and set off immediately.

I turned immediately and met Belmont and ramus just some distance away from me. They were waiting for me.

"Your highness. We've been waiting and we're here with a proposal . Just like we said yesterday. Unfortunately not enough hands were available for us to give our proposal but at least we're not late " Belmont said and handed over a paper note to me.

"If you read every detail of it and agree to it we would do as we have written. But if you don't.. the fate of our people will be in your hands"ramus said.

"I will look at it and hold a meeting when I'm done "i said to both of them. Ramus bowed and left but Belmont stood her ground.

"Is there anything else?"I asked her.

"Not quite sure your supposed surprise will be for us today but let it be for the good of our pack" Belmont gestured with her hands.

"Whatever i am doing is for the good of the pack. Whoever is against it will be killed by me" i spoke.

"If it's for the good of the pack then I won't ever subject to that. I shall wait for your earnest surprise before dusk.. take care " her pitched voice echoed.

Exactly in an hour and half Carl was back with news. I was asleep upon his arrival but I woke immediately to listen to him.

"My king I've done exactly as you've asked of me" he said and bowed.

"What did you find?

"Winifred dallhaw is residing in a pack not so far away from ours. Reign pack. I didn't meet her face to face but I was told by some close friends and I'm quite sure they are telling the truth"he said

It's settled then , the alpha of reign pack was certainly not one that I feared. If there was anything, I was the one he feared. It would be very simple for me to get Winifred back.

I rushed to my desk and started of with a letter to him. If he didn't release her then I would wage war on his little kingdom. My army was twice of his kingdom and it would be horrible for him to let such a war happen. I stamped my finger with a little pain and soaked the letter to show seriousness.

"You will go again but this time not in disguise. This must be given to the King and by all means he must release Winifred to you. I've sent you".I said to Carl and dismissed him off quickly.

While he was away I used the time left to Read the proposal ramus and lady Belmont made.

Carl's POV.

In no time I was already in the pack fully as a messenger.

"Stop right there!" A man with flawless hair said to me "who are you?" He asked.

"My name is Carl and I am a member of the Green field pack. My king has sent me to your King. A letter is with me for him"I spoke confidently.

"Red eyed Carl..let me have it "he said and displayed off some ugly looking teeth.

"It is not meant to be read by any other. If you try to attack me I'll go back and give the response back to my king and there would be war".

"Let him in " another matured voice spoke. He was average height and looked very presentable. "Follow me".

We walked a distance before getting into the palace. I was asked to wait for a while before the King was able to attend to me.

"I hear you're from the green field pack. A great pack indeed. You're welcome"he said. He had brown eyes and lengthened brown hair which he pushed back time to time.

"My king has a letter for you. You're the first to read it". He read in silence for a moment and looked at me with fear.

"I respect your king and I do understand the importance of this woman to him. For peace to reign between us i would have here with you in a while and you can take her along and do as you wish".

I nodded to his words. He sent for a guard who he whispered something to before leaving us.

"Would you like anything else from me?"

"I am fine. I only came to do as I've been asked" i spoke.

We waited for a while before the guard that was with us arrived with a beautiful woman. She looked terrified and confused as to why she's been called.

"I'm sorry to put you off in this manner but the King of green field pack has asked you to return this moment. He has placed trouble on my head if I don't return you and it's not war I'm looking for now" the king said to her.

"I will go just because he has placed war on your front door. Whom shall I follow?"she asked so boldly.

"You will go with me "i said and stood up.
