Damien was at a loss as he held onto Brandi. "I don't know what to do" Brandi sobbed. "Father isn't speaking to me right now, he thinks I'm a w***e" Her face crumpled "and he disapproved of my behavior."
It was difficult not to feel sorry for her or Damien, who had clenched his jaw. My sister was responsible for this. I had known she would be angry about the divorce and feel humiliated, but I hadn't thought she would go this far to embarrass Brandi and degrade Damien. Then again, maybe I should have anticipated this. I thought slowly, maybe I knew more about my sister's character then I wanted to believe. I sighed. I felt awful about the whole situation, even though I knew it wasn't my fault.
