Lena felt her heart pounding in her chest as she heard Kendrick utter those words. Marcello is… here... All the excitement and heat inside her body was replaced by a cold fear.

Logan started to close the door when Kendrick spoke again.
“Alpha, he’s requesting that Lena will be there as well.”
Lena could tell that Logan’s muscles tightened. He took in a breath before relaxing and once again he seemed as if he wasn’t bothered with that cool exterior Lena had seen so many times.
“Well, that’s not really up to him.”
