CHAPTER FIFTEEN
As they drove south toward the next crime scene, Rylie scoured her files, trying to find more information about this crime. It’d happened six months ago, and yes, involved a twenty-three-year-old young man who was travelling from Montana to his childhood home outside of Rock Springs for a family reunion. He’d called his sister from the road, saying he was about an hour away, and then had disappeared. According to the report, which was a little better, he’d been found strung up against mile post 89.
“Eighty-nine is an odd number,” she said, mostly to herself.
“And,” Brisbane mumbled. “It’s also the year of my birth.”
“Well, that’s an interesting connection. So there are only five-hundred other odd numbers that might be available to him.” She gazed at him. “What else?”
