The sky was dark, as the sun gave its place to a brilliant moon, and a soft cold breeze made for the only sound. Ehrien had just left the hospital, after being released from intensive care. Laura had stayed by her side while an intern re-stitched the wound in her abdomen. As he did, Ehrien was allowed to fully absorb the extent of her injuries; there were bruises on almost every part of her body, blackened with green and yellow edges.
