"You ain't got nothing on me," said Nick. "The captain said we shouldn't allow you to leave yet," said one of the soldiers known as Curtis as he held Nick at gunpoint. "You got no s**t on me! You gonna let me go," Nick replied as he insisted on leaving the camp. "The world out there is gone and here is the only damn place you could stay," Curtis replied as the rest of the soldiers started drawing closer to Nick with their guns pointed at him. As this was still going on, the captain walked out from his tent as he yelled in a loud voice, "What the f**k is going on here?" With all soldiers respecting his presence, they all stood still and saluted the captain, "I am tired of staying in this s**t hole," Nick boldly replied as he fixes his eyes on the captain. "You call this a s**t hole?" said the captain as he angrily approached Nick. "You think the world out there will be waiting for you to embrace you?" the captain asked as he stood shoulder to shoulder with Nick. "Perhaps the government has found a cure and we can't just be here in the middle of nowhere!" Nick replied. "It's not safe living in an open place, inside a tent," Nick added as he points around the camp. "And you f*****g think it's safe out there huh?" the captain asked. "With the dead coming back to life no place is safe," the captain added. "Either way you have no right to keep me here," said Nick as he looks at the captain with boldness. "You think the science work you hoping to find out there will keep you?" the captain asked. "I am still one of the best scientists under the president," Nick boasted. "And yet the president is gone, the entire government is dead and we are all you got! said the captain as he points Nick's attention to the rest of the soldiers.  "If you want me to stay, then you must shoot me," Nick said to the captain as he turned around to leave the camp. Curtis without hesitation with the rest of the soldiers crackled their guns and were about to fire a warning shot in the air but the captain yelled in a loud voice ordering them to stand down, "Let him go!" the captain said. "But how can we treat our sick without him?" Curtis asked. "Just give him time, he will come back running to us as usual," the captain replied as he walked back to his tent. Curtis walked into the captain's tent as he said with boldness, "I don't believe you let him go!"  "At times you let a dog lose to see where he really chose to be," said the captain as he flips through the pages of a book. "We are survivors and we have survived since the outbreak of the virus over two years ago," Curtis said. "And we will keep surviving," the captain replied. "How can we when the only person with the knowledge of science and medicine is out there for the dead to eat," Curtis replied. Nick was walking through rails when he sighted a bike across the other lane, he hurried up as he quickly observed his immediate surroundings. The entire place looks deserted and littered. As he was checking to see if the bike works perfectly, a zombie from behind lunged at him. As the zombies attempt to take a bite, Nick struggles with the zombie. He tried pushing the zombie away, his fingers sank into the zombie's decayed skin, "You nasty son of a b***h!" Nick exclaimed as he quickly pulled out his side pistol and shot the zombie in the head, "Bang!" The zombie's brain splashed all over his face. Standing to his feet he noticed some zombies drawing close to him as a result of the gunshot. The sound of them dragging their body parts down the street behind him, the spitty hiss they make as their decayed teeth, yellowed and full of pulpy bits of bloody flesh, snap as they stumbled and staggered towards him. Without hesitation he quickly jumped into the bike, turning its ignition on, he zoomed off crushing one of the crawling zombies with white decayed eyes. It was already getting late, as Nick drove into one of the deserted police stations. Turning off the ignition of the bike, "Nice bike," said a man in white as he walks down the stairs of the front door leading to the main station. Swiftly Nick turned around to see who it was, "I don't want any trouble," said Nick as he stares at the man. "The bike belongs to me now," said the man in white as he pulled out a revolver and have it pointed at Nick. "This is not cool mehn," said Nick as he tried calming the man. However the man ignored and crackled his revolver, "I wouldn't mind blowing your brains out," he said as he approaches Nick. Taking out Nick's pistol he said to him, "I will keep this too." "How the hell do you want me to survive this s**t world without a weapon?" Nick asked. "You have survived for two years since the outbreak of the virus and you can still survive," said the man as he ordered Nick to leave the premise. "If you dare come back here, I will roast your silly ass," the man threatened. Nick quietly left the premises to avoid being noticed by any zombie as he found a barber's shop to stay for the night, "Can't believe the world out here is full of s**t," Nick said as he adjusted one of the barber's seats. "How in the hell am I supposed to sleep in a place like this?" Nick asked as he angrily walked out from the barber's shop. With one of the torchlights he took from his previous camp, he walked into a building, flashing the torch around the building, everywhere was so calm and seems empty. "I think this will do," Nick said as he approaches a corner of the house. As he was about lying by the corner, he saw a pendant with the shape of a dragon. "This looks beautiful," he said as he picks up the pendant. Admiring its beauty, suddenly a flash of lightning came out from the pendant and blasted him to the wall.
