Judy who only stands to watch without doing anything at this time with her umbrella started hitting the zombies causing them to leave Nick and focus on her. As the zombies crawled towards Judy, Nick trampled on them underfoot. "You are bitten," Judy said to Nick. "I know," Nick replied with a sad look on his face. "I can't come close to you because you will soon turn," Judy said as she takes a few steps backward. "Help me get to my boat," Nick pleaded with Judy. "It will be a thing of joy to die inside my boat," Nick added. A few minutes later after Judy helped Nick into his boat, as she was about to leave, Nick's body began to glow as his wounds quickly healed, "What are you?" Judy asked as she noticed a blue glowing light on Nick's wound. Nick pulled up his pants to check the wound but there was none, "Are you an alien?" Judy asked as she stands in a distance. "I am a human just like you," Nick replied as he stares at his healed leg in awe. "Anyone bitten by a zombie ends up being a zombie," Judy said as she glanced at Nick with surprise. "I don't know what happened," Nick replied. "Maybe it's a miracle," Nick added. "I don't believe in miracles," said Judy as she continues staring at Nick. "What then do you believe in?" Nick asked as he looks Judy deep in the eyes. "I believe in magic," Judy replied. "As for me, I believe in miracles," Nick said as he pleaded with Judy to fix some dishes. An hour later, as they both were eating, Judy continued to stare at Nick, "I am fine," Nick said as he noticed Judy staring at him while eating. "It's good you still have some supplies left in your boat," Judy said. "But you told me you have no location you were heading to," Judy added. "I still have no location," Nick replied. Back at the captain's camp, Curtis was able to escape with the captain but unfortunately for the captain, he was already bitten and in great pains, as Curtis drives the truck, he observed the captain through the rear mirror, "How are you holding up sir?" Curtis asked. "I can't take this s**t no more," said the captain as he ordered Curtis to pull over. "Pull over now, it's an order," the captain yelled at Curtis. "Copy that sir," Curtis replied as he slowly pulled over. "I can't let myself turn into one of these creatures," the captain said as he stepped out from the truck. "You have to end me," the captain added. "I'm sorry sir, I can't," Curtis said as he puts his head down. "You have to end me, soldier," the captain yelled at Curtis. "Killing you is like killing my own father. You are like a father to me," Curtis narrates. "You are not killing me," the captain replied. "You are just killing the monster I would become," the captain added as he pulled out his pistol and handed it to Curtis. "Don't hesitate," that captain said as he helped Curtis to point the gun at his head. "I can't do this," said Curtis as he looks away. "You have to do it?" the captain yelled at Curtis. "We are in a world of s**t," the captain added as he closed his eyes. "Bang!" Curtis reluctantly pulled the trigger. After briefly mourning the captain and giving him the final salute, he dragged his body out from the highway as he began to dig his grave. "Indeed we are in a world of s**t," Curtis said as he digs. At Nick's boat, after they have finished eating, Judy was still monitoring Nick to see if he would turn but suddenly they heard voices outside, "Are you expecting anyone?" Judy asked. "I am not," Nick replied. "We can hear you from here," said a man with a cowboy hat. "You are surrounded and you will do well to step out slowly with your hands in the air," the man with a cowboy hat added. "Who the hell is he?" Nick asked. "I should be asking you," Judy replied. Crackling their AK-47, shots were fired in the air as the man in a cowboy hat said in a loud voice, "That's the last warning!" "We should probably do what they said," Nick said as fear gripped him. "We should fight them," Judy whispers. "I'm just a scientist with no lab now," Nick whispers back. "I don't fight," Nick added. "And you survived this long," Judy said. "Because I have myself surrounded by soldiers," Nick replied. "You are special with what I saw here today," Judy said. As they both walked out from the boat, with their hands in the air, the man in the cowboy hat said, " You wasted my time and now one of you has to lose an eye." "You can't do this s**t," Nick said as one of the man's boys pushed him. "I can do any s**t I want because the government is dead and as for note keeping, I noticed your bike over there. It belongs to me now and this fine ass boat," the man in a cowboy hat said as he points his gun at Nick. "Can you please point that gun somewhere else?" Judy cuts in. "Your fine ass belongs to me now," said the man as he walks closer to Judy. "Don't lay your nasty hands on her," Nick said to the man. Angrily the man turned around and hit Nick with his gun but as soon as the gun touches Nick's body, the man was slammed to the boat with Nick still standing firm. Seeing what happened the rest pointed their guns at Nick, ordering him to lift his hands above his head. Filled with awe but no idea of what happened,  Nick lifted his hands above his head. As soon as the man with a cowboy hat got up, he angrily approached Nick, "You dare raise your finger at me?" said the man. "He did nothing," Judy cuts in. "Shut your mouth," the man rebuked Judy as he focuses on Nick. "Let's see how you will survive my bullet," said the man in a cowboy hat as he crackles his gun and has it pointed at Nick. "Please don't do this," Nick pleaded. "See you in hell," the man added as he pulled the trigger, "Bang!"
