Raven's POV
It is a long, quiet walk back. Never before have I been so on edge. I've fought entire gangs before, twenty-to-one odds, but that never rattled me like seeing Blair in the Luciano warehouse. Before leaving to walk her back, I made sure every trace of her was erased to the point where I couldn't even discern her scent from the other humans. The place was polished to perfection. I made sure of it before trading my post with another guard to keep Blair safe.
I don't even remember what I told them as an excuse. All I knew was that they bought it and let me slip away into the night. They didn't know that I was going over to meet Blair at the corner. They didn't know what she saw. They wouldn't know. I had to make sure they didn't find out.
