I slowly turned back and my whole body became attuned to Aria's presence. This girl does things to me that no other person ever does, not even my late wife.
“I'll be at the pack house,” I heard Sage say, just before he slipped out of my house.
“Coward,” I mutter to myself.
“I asked a question, West?” Aria said to me.
“Before I answer that question, how's your mum?” I asked her.
“She is fine, she woke up on her own and I gave her water, the one that's in that room, she's back to sleeping now.”
“Let's go to my room, so that we can talk better.” I told her as I stood up and started heading towards her, I held her hands and herded her to my room.
