CHAPTER 19: ODD WOMAN

POV: Eris

"We have met before" Adam said. What did he say? That's why since the beginning I felt something about him, like he's familiar and I feel safe around him. A strange feeling more than because I have a crush on him or I like him but a feeling of a deeper love; a stronger and meaningful feeling that I can't explain.

"Wha... What?" I exclaimed. I knew it but..... it was still so sudden. What will I react?

"We first met at Lakeside since then special feelings for each other grew between us. You trusted me back then, I need you to believe and.. trust me again. Eris, I will never hurt you or harm you. Though you forgot everything about us, uhmm *exhaled*I still... I like ...you and I know... you.. still like me too" he stated and hold my hands. I feel his warmth of truthfulness and my eyes started to feel teary with gladness. I am glad that he is not what I think, no, not what Tom thinks he is. Whatever or whoever this person is I will still love him.

"Ahhh ahmm tha.. that's" I don't know what to say. I felt that my cheeks started to blush for his eyes are near and was pinned on me. His face was so beautiful that I can dream to him every night tirelessly.

"I'm sorry if I bothered you or make you scared...sorry if I only tell you these just now... If I make you worried.. I ammm, mmm, Eris I am so scared you might get hurt or something bad happens to you.. or.. or... I might lose you again" Adam uttered in a low but anxious voice. 'You don't have to apologized, I understand...' I take back my hands from him and I want to comfort him, to let him know he'd done nothing wrong. It is me who forget everything, it is me that is at fault. I'm sorry for forgetting you, for forgetting our love, for letting you feel this way, for letting you experience loneliness and longingness alone; for letting you suffer the pain of the unspoken memories.

"I believe you" I put my hand to his face and caressed his cheek with my thumb.... until... and then it touched his lips and my eyes automatically gazed at it. Seconds... Heart beats faster... I looked at him, his mesmerizing gray eyes telling me to close mine and kiss his lips... Without realizing I slowly doing it, closing my eyes and kissed Adam, my mate...... Wai... wait!.... What? ... Mate? What does it mean?

Then Adam kissed me back, a sensational reason for me to forget what I had thought just now. Whatever, the thing is I'm kissing him, and I am the one who initiated it. And he doesn't push me but kisses me back. I like this feeling, his soft warm lips... this hunk and gorgeous man is kissing me... I felt my face blushed again and then he put his right hand in my nape and his left hand traveled to my back, caressing it. Suddenly, I felt something is poking my flat belly and Adam continued kissing me down my neck... "Adam..." I hesitated with a whisper-like voice because of the tickling sensation it sends through my skin. He still fondled down my back like he heard nothing until... until... he reached my two jelly-like humps. 'No...!' I shouted in my mind ...., though I am the one who initiated it, it doesn't mean I'm up to that thing... it doesn't mean I'm ready for this..in doing it. He squeezed romantically, ...my two soft mountains and still kissing me on my neck. I pushed him, "No.." at last I say it in clear words with sound. But he is too huge for me to make him move away even just an inch. "Adam...no, ...please.. stop!" I shouted, then knocking him a few times on his shoulders, enough for him to stop like he woke up from his dream.

I pushed him again, which made him to step one backward. "Eris.. I .. I .. I'm so sorry" he immediately apologized with eyes widened in his own shock, for what he'd done. I looked away, "I didn't mean to..." he said again, but I responded nothing while I was just looking on the floor. What will I do? Be upset with him? Walk out from him? Slap him? But it is me who made the first move.. but not to lead to that 'thing'... I gathered my strength and made my first step backward, then another and another until I left him alone standing in the living room again.

POV: Adam

'Stupid' I cursed to myself when Eris left me alone and went to his room. 'What did you just do, huh, Adam?' I clenched my fist and wanted to punch myself in annoyance. I pulled my hair and then threw my hand down swiftly in the air in exasperation. Now, what and how will I explain to him what happened. Why I didn’t restrain myself more that I let my impulse to rush in the moment. But what could I do, last night was just the end my heat; end of my first full moon with him after like it's forever... Thanks to the medicine Tyler gave me, it helps me a lot in these past nights.

POV: Eris

The clamorous shrieking shout of fans was heard all over the four corners of City Lights Music Hall mixed with whistles and applauds. Together it vibrated to the sound of those huge speaker produced its mellifluous music when I started to strum my first chords of my original song and album named 'Love Moon'. The audience gradually lessens their cheers until it was only me and my guitar that can be heard.

"Standing on the bridge looking at the moon above the water"

"Holding your hand saying, 'If this is forever, Could we stay like this?'"

"I put my head on your shoulder while sitting beside you on the fountain, 'Singing the sweet tone of Love Moon'"

I exited the stage after a dance number and Adam instantly but slowly walking towards me like on a scene on a romantic drama with lights and slow motion effect. My heart starts to beat faster and thankfully the back stage was not so bright to see my blushing. The memory of his kiss and caresses was still crystal clear on my heart and my body that it seems still remembers everything that it also started to get warmer.

"Your phone has been ringing since.. just for a while now" He said then handed me my phone. I immediately looked at it and... "Unnamed number?"

"Yeah, I answered it but he didn't respond to me when I asked him who he is" Adam then handed me a bottled water. "Thanks" I stated and smiled then drink some. I startled when he fixed my sweaty hair that was blocking my eye. I coughed because of this, his sudden show of action like this.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Hmm" I nodded. "Maybe later, I'll call this number" I said when someone called my name. "Gabbie!"

"What a show!" she said smiling. "Thanks for coming" I replied while putting a denim jacket for my concluding performances.

"Do you have any plans after this?" she asked. Gabb was wearing a quite loose white long sleeves shirt, jeans and dark brown high heeled boots with her bag hanging on her elbow.

"Nothing.. Why?" I answered and then drink some water again.

"Where do you want to eat after this?" another voice asked from behind our circle. I'm sure it was. I looked at the source of the voice and I am correct, it's Justin.

"You're here?" Gabb asked with shock obviously.

"What?... I'm a fan!.." then he winked at me. Really? This guy really has a talent how to ruined the mood. Marco signaled me to go back to the stage.

"Talk later...Last three songs.." I said to Gabb and then threw the bottle to Adam that he easily caught. On my peripheral view on my way to stage, Adam crossed his arms and face Justin blocking his way.

"For Eris!!" Gabb said in a joyful tone and we raised our glasses then cheers it on the air. Well, I really enjoyed this night's performance. It's really nice to give happiness to the people around me with their love and support.

"Indeed a great night" said Justin with a smile. Was Justin really came to watched the show or there's something he is up to or say to me? It's like he's not the type of man to watch a music night.

"Anyway, Eris did you know that our next shooting was moved earlier this coming Monday instead of Wednesday?" Gabbie asked while munching her crispy fried chicken with her glass of beer on her left. I shook my head.

"Direc Gonzales called me this morning about that" Justin butted in as usual. I looked at him and, "I've never receive a call or message from him" I stated with a little bit of wonder.... then, I remember the unnamed call, ... "Oh, yeah there's someone called me earlier before we came here. I just couldn't answer it because of the show, maybe its the director" I smiled then looked at Gabb.

"Hmm yeah, it's the director, I think" he was sure in his words.

"I also told Mr. Gonzales that I'll tell you about this so maybe he called you late... but I just tell it to you now, sorry" she apologized while touching her left arm and scratching it lightly.

"No worries" I smiled and..., "Thank you for this bonding and..." I chuckled, "for watching my show"

"You have an intimate scene with Gabb" Justin ruined the mood again making the atmosphere in an awkward vibe. He really don't know when and where to say these kind of things. I coughed to what I've heard. I looked at him with eyes wide opened.

"No, Not the thing you were thinking" Gabb immediately explained. "Justin will you please choose the words you will use" she said in irritation.

"It's just a kissing scene... not that ANOTHER thing" he chuckled. He's laughing on my reaction for sure. What a foolish jerk!...Okay, I need to get some air.

"Hello Direc, is this you? It's Eris" I excused myself from the group for a minute and called the number just to make sure if it is Mr. Gonzales. Seconds later, "Eris, I'm glad you called" the familiar voice said.

"Wait.. who.." I stuttered.

"I don't think you will forget my voice" he chuckled in a silly wicked sound.

"What is it again huh? Will you please leave me alone!" I raised my voice a little enough for Adam not to get his attention.

"Leave you alone? That!!.. I did!.. It is you who got me beaten up" he shouted. Tom's voice was vibrating in full of anger and hatred.

"What? I didn't know what you're saying!" "Now, you said, 'leave me alone' " our sentences intersect simultaneously.

"I know I acted harshly to you without thinking it twice but I apologized to you Erick many times... MANY TIMES" he said still in irritation and disgust.

"Oh so you're the victim now!" I chuckled now I'm also stressed.

"You started it this time, Erick" he said like hammering a nail on a concrete wall. What are you saying Tom? I don't understand. Anyway, it's worth nothing to continue this conversation. Then, suddenly someone grab my phone from my hand.

"Adam?" I said in surprise.

"Don't ever dare to show your face to Eris. I swear, you will never see daylight again" Adam threatened then straightway hung up. He looked at me and handed me my phone and, "Didn't I tell you not to talk to him"

"Uhmm I...I don't know... I have no idea the number was Tom's and.... uhmm and he's talking about me beat him up?" I stuttered and chuckled, "Ridiculous" I chuckled again. Adam say nothing so I walked and "Let's go inside?" I said inviting him in. I turned back and then he suddenly grabbed my hand and hugged me tightly.. so tight that I felt calm and relax under his arms and chest.

"Where's Gabb?" I asked Justin as he was busy in scrolling up his mobile phone.

"Restroom" he said timidly while moving his head also at her direction.

"I also need to go" I looked at Adam and give him my sweet half smile.

"Do you want me..." he asked.

"No need... It's okay" I immediately said not letting him finished his question. Besides, it's only a restroom as if I'm going far away.

On my way to the toilet, I bumped into Gabb and immediately noticed her left arm. Her sleeves was folded up above to her elbow. I think he forgot to lower it back and it is impossible for anyone without noticing it. I squinted my eyes making sure on what I saw so Gabb swiftly lowered her sleeves as soon as she saw me looking at her bruises. What is that? How did she.. Where did she get those bruises?

"Eris.." she break the awkward silence wearing a smile.

"Gabb... Everything's alright?" I asked and also curved a light smile for her. I feel something.

"Yeah... Everything's great!!" she chuckled. "I'll head back then" she stuttered pointing to our table with her phone on her hand. I nodded and then walked towards my destination. When I got back, Gabb was not there again. Something's really strange happened to her. Do I care? Is that my business? I don't know, but she's my friend. As I ask them, they said, "She left immediately, saying there's an urgent matter she needs to attend to" then I nodded.

"Is there something wrong?" Adam asked. I looked at him who was also looking at me. I shook my head confidently and drank some water as my eye were moving from left to right searching for answers in mid air.

POV: Adam

This night was not bad at all, it was great actually. Justin actually not too that annoying. He turns out to be a good friend, he was just really talkative and such a dumbass joker without thinking first his punch lines but he's good. One good thing was he has no plan on hitting with Eris, unavoidably a smile manifest on my lips.

" You don't just consider him a boss, do you?" he asked all of a sudden without brakes. Nice try on opening a conversation. I smirked looking at him like a predator ready to bite him badly.

"Relax, I have no plans to steal him from you" he chuckled. I tightened my grip to the glass on my hand, "If I were you, I will shut my mouth and act not like we're close" I uttered in a low deep voice. He raised his hands on the air as a sign of surrender to my superiority.

"Eris, was the kissing scene necessary?" I asked without much emotion painted on my face. I don't know, I just wanted to ask him about this. I need to. I looked at him at the passenger's seat but he seems have no intention to answer me. "Eris?... hmm, didn't you hear me?"

"You said you like me, and you know I like you too. Adam its part of my job and..." he said then I reached his hand and, "I understand... I'm sorry" I looked at him with a half smile sending him some comfort.

"I'm the one who needed to apologize" Eris also looked at me with a half smile as well. He then also held my hand, "I suddenly kissed you and then got angry when you kissed me back" he chuckled then get our eyes back on the road when... "Adam!..." he shouted when a woman suddenly appeared in front of us.
