CHAPTER 7: MY ENIGMATIC BODYGUARD

Marco stayed the night in my condo and watched over me. On the morrow, I told him everything what happened to me last night. It was Tom. He stalked me and even went to the concert and fan meeting. And then kidnapped me at the elevator. He told the management what happened and my manager forbids me to go anywhere. Marco searched Tom in social media to see what he looks like. The door rang and he opened it. "Oh my... Eris are you okay?" Lily immediately asked me and hugged. Lily is now an accountant in a huge and known bank in the country. Though we see each other not that frequent, our communication never fades. We still go out occasionally. She has now a fiancé who's kind and successful businessman, none other than Sam, the owner of Sammy Cooks. "Why're you here? You have work, right?" I asked her.

"You know, best, don't worry about me. You should be worried of yourself!" she chuckled and tapped my left cheek. "You even forget what day it is, it's Sunday" she chuckled again and I rolled my eyes. I stood up and get my ice cream at the fridge. "You want some?" I offered and I looked at them, Lily thanking Marco for taking care of me. She stared at me and nodded with a smile.

"Uuuhh" I put the two cups of ice cream on the small glass table which is at the center of the couch.

"You know best, you should hire a bodyguard" Lily suggested but she sounds like she insisted it and that it needs to happen immediately.

A soft cough let out of my throat "It won't be necessary" I said and put again in my mouth a spoonful.

"Not necessary? Are you kidding me?" Lily surely was worried of me, she sounds like my manager scolding me. "Now it's Tom only but what if he bring Brandon with him" she paused and looked with eyes full of care and worry. "What if they... I mean, we don't know what they'll do next" Lily watched her words and rephrase her sentence when she saw me closed my eyes and remembered those days.

"Best please... Marco" Lily looked at my assistant asking for help in convincing me.

"Eris, I also think it's for the best" Marco said who hasn't even touch his ice cream.

Since it was almost just an hour that I was abducted, we decided to not involved the police and also to avoid media feast. We just asked the condominium's management for permission to let us see the CCTV. Exactly like my words, it was Tom. He took me to his unit but in our astonishment a tall guy barged in his unit and took me and then bring me back to my unit's front door where Marco found me. Who is he? His features kinda look familiar but I don't want to assume he's Mr. Gray. 

Speaking of Mr. Gray, we have a date later this evening. It isn't a date 'date' but it's more of a gratitude dinner for saving me previously. The problem is my agency, my manager, Marco and Lily don't want me to go anywhere especially on meeting a stranger or someone I just met once. I don't even have his contact number or anything to tell him I couldn't come. Ahhhh I feel bad for him. That night I can't think but only him for not meeting him. I am sure he's pissed off and disappointed with me.

After 3 days since the incident, our agency posted a job hiring for a personal bodyguard online and in our building. I also went to Sammy Cooks, "Sam is there someone came here on Sunday night?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I mean I have a lot of customers that night" he answered. I forgot the customer's volume doubled on weekends.

"I mean, is there someone looking for me that night? He's tall, muscular and.." I paused. I'm not sure if I need say this but..

"Handsome?" Sam added and chuckled a little. "Yeah there's a man waited here for so long until to our closing" he paused and looked at me who just stared at him with full attention and then he continued,  "I told him that we are about to close the Restaurant and he asked me if I knew you"

"So what did you say? Did you get his number?" I asked in excitement.

"I did but I threw it on the trash" he said touching the back of his head and awkwardly chuckled.

"What? Why?" I asked

"Because you told me, If I don't know the person, I must not give them any information of yours"

"But it is not the same" I said in a little frustration

"Well, I'm sorry. But I don't know him so I threw it. And besides your kidnapping incident just happened yesterday that time so.." he paused and tapped him in the shoulder and said "I am sorry. I understand. You did it for me"  and smiled to him

"Who is he, by the way?" Sam asked.

"Nothing, just a fan that I needed to pay" I walked towards the glass door to exit the cafe, "Have a great day Sam" I waved to him and he waved back from the counter.

I drove straight and went to the agency. Why am I alone? I asked or should I say force Marco if I can go alone just this once since it can be my last day of being 'alone' if we hire a bodyguard now. I reached the agency with a few applicants waiting outside the office. They looked at me as I walked on the hallway. I entered the room and my manager interviewing an applicant.

"Oh Eris" Nimfa greeted me and asked me to sit.

"Nimfa, can I do the interview alone?" I asked her.

"Huh, why?" She asked wondering.

"Nothin' Its just..." I exhaled "please?" I looked at her eyes directly.

"Sure" she said. She really is kind, yes, strict but kind.

I sat down and continued the ongoing interview. After that, I looked to all of the resume and one by one I scanned them until I saw a familiar name 'Adam Gray'. It's him, it is really him. I immediately called Cindy from the other room to call Mr. Adam Gray and let all other applicants know that the job hiring is done.

"Do you really want to apply here as my bodyguard?" I asked him as he sit on the chair.

"Yes, Mister Williams"  he answered formally.

"By the way, I wanted to apologize last Sunday if I didn't show up. There just... something happened.." I said

"I know. It's okay" he said. Wait what did mean of 'I know'? We didn't informed the media about it.

"What do you mean by you know?" I asked. His formal attire really fits him and his perfume, aahh the best!

"I.. I mean. You're a celebrity, you're busy and have lots of priority" he explained.

"I see, anyway.." I lightly nodded and looked at his papers. "So, as my bodyguard you'll be with me wherever I go. You will also stay at my house and assist and protect me"

"Am I hired?" he said surprised and happy. I looked at him on his ash grey eyes and nodded. "Yessss!" he said softly but I heard it. He's funny and cute with that reaction.

"Sir?... Sir Williams?" he called me few times to get my attention. Oh no, I didn't notice I was staring at him, stunned before his gorgeous face.

"Yesss?" I said going back to reality. He laughed. This is embarrassing. Did he notice the way I look at him? What if he's straight and he don't want to work with a person like me? It's impossible for him to like me. So, Eris know your boundaries, he's only here for a job.

POV: Adam

He really did not remember me from the first time we met to the time I left him. It was nightmare for me the day he was gone. I met him unexpectedly and I lost him unexpectedly. But the moment I fixed the pack's complication, I looked for him immediately. Now that I found him I will never leave his side. Leaving him is one of the worst decision I'd done in my life. I should have never left him alone. I promised to protect him but I failed. Now is my chance and I'll do everything to protect and guard him from any harm. I'll also help him to regain his memory and rekindle our love once more.

I started to my post immediately as Eris' bodyguard. I drove the van to his meetings and photoshoots. When the night came, we went home to his condo and he even let me know his door's passcode. We entered the unit, it was cool. It has a modern minimalist look with a theme of white, light cream and light grey colors. To the left is a small clean kitchen and the comfort room to the end with a frame hanging on its door. A white wooden dining table and chairs. Light grey couch and small rounded glass table. To the right is two rooms, the first is quite huge compare to the second.

"The second door to the right is your room. It doesn't have its own shower room and toilet so you can use that one to the left end" Eris' explained. I never expected to be with him again this close and in the same house. Werewolf's senses and emotions amplified when they are with their mate or when they have found them. I have to restrain myself especially when I'm on my peak in full moon, I need to though it's hard, until he regains his memory back.

"Are you okay? Mister Gray" Eris said and then I found myself just standing in the middle of the living room, lost in thought.

"Yeah, just call me Adam, Er... Sir Eris" I answered.

He gave me a soft and cute smile. Damn, that smile, I miss that smile; he already giving me butterflies. Please, don't gave me that look My Mate, I might not be able to control myself and who knows what I can do.

"You can put your things on your room. I'll just prepare some food" he said. Yeah miss your cooking. And as I turned back to go the the room, "Hey, it's Eris. Exclude the 'Sir'" he said with a cute smile and pointing me with his index finger. His eyes narrowed whenever he smiles or laughs.

Lying on a bedroom just next to his, I can feel his emotions  or feelings this near. Is he thinking of me? I know he has a crush on me but I don't want to scare or shock him that his crush and mate is a werewolf. That his bodyguard is an Alpha Werewolf. I'll just let him remember me in the right time.
