The soft light of the morning filtered through the window and brightened the room. Lucien’s bare chest rose and fell steadily. He might have looked calm but his mind was anything but. Aria, who was sitting beside him, looked down and clenched her fists. Her face was etched in concern as the question lingered in the air. What are we going to do now? That was a loaded question. Lucien had not thought of that, mainly because, up until his chat with Aria, he still wasn’t sure that all of this was real. He had resigned himself to living the rest of his life being a crippled shadow of his former self, but now that he was whole. He needed to re-plan how he was going to live the rest of his life. “So…” Aria whispered, her low voice broke the silence as she turned to face him, “What now?”
