Ella looked completely away from Lucas. The first tear ran down her face, as she hurried to wipe it off with the sleeve of her sweatshirt. Her hands trembled, a sob building it's way up her throat. "O-okay."
Lucas pulled his crying mate into his arms, whispering comforting words. He rubbed her back and had his lips pressed to her temple, as she silently cried in his arms.
After minutes of Ella crying and trembling in Lucas's arms, he couldn't take it any more.
"We can consider a baby." Lucas spoke softly, his jaw clenched.
He wasn't mad at Ella, but so scared that something would go wrong. He couldn't lose her, nothing was worth losing Ella. But he couldn't pretend that this wasn't hurting his mate so strongly.
"If you really want this, we'll consider it when the time comes." Lucas ki
