I let out a sigh, exhausted by the work of the day. I have only undergone mental labour yet it somehow seems physical. Maybe it’s because of my seating posture in all of the hours spent in my office, I don’t know, but the stress is weighing on my shoulders. Literally speaking.
I pull a hand over my shoulder and twist the shoulder my hand rests on, massaging gently. The time is nine fifteen pm. I have overstayed working ours but by choice.
I did not want to go home early even though I knew I could, my mind being weighed by numerous things, including my marriage.
No one will be home waiting for me anyway, so I might as well work my way into fatigue so I can induce sleep into my body than be at home and let my thoughts while away which will still keep me up all night.
