- VALKYRIE- I am home. Well, my old home, now this place is dead to me. It disgusts me even though it was bought with my hard work. “Wait here, I won’t take long.” I say to the man holding the car door of the back seat open for me. Even though I’ve only been away from here for one night, it feels foreign to me. It feels tainted and I’m trying not to remember what I witnessed yesterday. I don’t want to remember what I heard, my jaw clenches, but every bitter word is fuel to the rage burning inside me begging to react. I walk to the front door. My body halts involuntarily.
