Engagement party

Bennie Pov:

The J Hotel was filled with all kinds of guest present to celebrate the engagement between me and AJ. It was night I could never forget, I was dressed in a beautiful blue dress with hair braided to the back leaving behind a few curry bangs. I had looked at myself in the mirror and admired the reflection I was seeing. I didn't need to be told that I was the most beautiful woman present because I already knew it. I held my head up high as I made my way to greeting the guest.

“You look gorgeous my dear” Bernett my father commented and a smile crept on my face. My mother held my hands smiling with me.

“Words can't describe what you I feel right now, my child is already engaged” she held back the tears in her eyes.

“Mother don't cry, you will make me cry and it will ruin my makeup and yours too” I reasoned with her and she held her tears back.

“I am sorry dear, you know how emotional I am. I will try to put myself together” she apologized.

“I am so proud of you my dear” my father tapped my shoulder. This is one of the moment I may live to remember, my father had been the proudest of me on that day. It may have been just an engagement party to me but to him I knew it meant business yet anything to bring me closer to AJ was worth risking it for.

“Uhhmm, Dad, have you seen AJ?” I asked.

“He is right there with his father” he pointed and I could see him looking handsome in his white tuxedo, he looked just like the carbon copy of his father Jeremy but he took all the beauty for himself.

I stroded to his side and wrapped my arms with his.

“Look at you two, you look perfect together” Jeremy complimented and I let out a giggle.

“I am so glad that you are my daughter-in-law, I can already feel the bond between us” he added.

Hearing such compliment from him made me feel thriller, I looked at AJ and he was smiling back at me. These past few days he has been nice to me and my whole world felt complete.

“Babe, can you excuse me for a minute?” he said and then walled away.

The smile on my face vanished and Jeremy noticed it in an instant.

“How about a dance my dear” he said.

“Yes Sir” i replied without objection.

“Don't call me Sir, Father is much better. You are family now” he said and my energy got refilled again. He held my hand and took me for a dance.

After a while, his wife took over and I went in search of AJ so that we could do the closing speech.

I had searched everywhere for him and finally decided to search the restroom when I heard noises from the men’s room.

“Faster before your girlfriend gets here” a female voice said.

I had to check the rooms again to be certain of I made it to the female's room but I was not wrong.

“I love it” the voice said again but the man's voice was inaudible that I couldn't hear what he was saying. The moans suddenly became louder and I got so confused.

‘Who could be having s*x in there’ I asked myself standing outside the main door. I dare not set my foot in to avoid being seen as a pervert to or to be in a scenario where I would be accused of chesting, I had just gotten engaged so I had to keep it that way otherwise I would be dead.

“AJ” I called out.

“Yes babe” his voice came immediately after and I was glad he was in.

The moaning sound from the lady did not stop making me convinced that it was not him messing up in there. I heard the toilet flush and he came out there.

“Can you believe people still have quickes in the toilet?” he said with a laugh.

I listened in again and the moans were louder and then it stopped.

A lady came out of there and one of AJ friends did too.

“I should have known it was you” AJ referred to his friend.

“We are all meant to have fun” David his friend replied.

“You are right” the lady replied looking seductive at AJ.

“I want another threesome next time” she said and I was confused.

“Whst does she mean threesome?” I asked aloud.

“She means next time without a vibrator but a real person” she uttered.

“Why all these questions babe?, why were you looking for me?

Did you miss me already?” AJ grabbed my hand taking me away from them, I knew something was off but I pushed it to the back of my mind and believed what David had said.

“Yes, we have to greet more guests and father is looking for you” I said to him. I held AJ’s hand tightly as we began greeting each and every guest. I had no idea who those people were so all I could do was smile and answer their questions, AJ on the other hand spoke fluently with them and I could help but feel left out.

“Can I sit this one out?” I asked him and he looked at me,

“Why” he replied.

“My heels are paining me” I pointed to my legs, his legs were much longer which meant I had to walk twice my stride to meet up with his.

“It’s alright, you can sit here” he said and walked away without another word.

I watched the guest we went to table by table, I could see the ladies being all touchy with him and I couldn’t help but feel jealous. AJ didn’t care about it and kept smiling while their hands were all over his body. I took my heels to wear them again and join him when I got interrupted.

“Young miss” I heard a man say and I raised up my head to him.

“Is there any problem?” I asked.

“I just got a call that Gold escaped from the hospital”

“What?” I bolted from my seat in shock.

“How is that possible, how did she escape from there?” I asked back.

‘Could she?, No’ I shook my head, there is no way she must have already figured out the truth.

“What are they waiting for then, what stops you from finding her” I demanded.

“They have searched everywhere for her but couldn't find her”

“Tell them that they shouldn't stop searching until they find her” I informed him and he walked away with that piece of information.

I suddenly began to panic knowing that Gold had escaped from the hospital, did she already know that I had a hand in it. Could it be that she was already coming here to crash my party?

‘Where are you Gold and what are you planning’ I asked. Gold had no family to be with so it wouldn't be easy to find her, she could be anywhere.

My inner fear gave way that she could already be at the party and is currently spying on me waiting for an opportunity to hurt me. I looked around me to make sure of that and saw no sign of her so I breathed out in relief. She couldn't have gotten past the guards, no one was invited into the party without an invitation otherwise such person would be thrown out harshly. Gold wouldn't be dumb enough to enter into the enemy’s territory knowing quite well what would happen to her if she tried. She would be killed if she tried such a thing.
