The Epiphany

“Okay, can everybody hear, everybody?”
“yes, Anubhav everybody can hear everybody”
“Okay, Samarth what’s the update”
“I am on the roof A and I can spot 2 goons and 4 children in the bedroom, only one of them has a gun.”
“Okay, Samara?”
“I am on roof B and I can also spot 2 goons and rest of the four children in the guest bedroom, only one of them has a gun.”
“Okay can you both describe the physique of the goons?”
“Samarth”
“both are lean and lanky”
“Samara?”
“one is lean but the other one is really tall and muscular like the Rock level muscular.”
“Okay then Shubham and Shifa will take the A side of the building and Avijita and Arjun will take the B side.”
“Okay according to Aaravi’s update parents are going to give half of the ransom money now, so be alert.”
“okayyy”
“Anubhav, one of the goons is coming down to collect the ransom.”
“Okay, thanks Aaravi. Samara, Samarth which guy?”
“My side the lean and lanky man with the gun is going out of the room.”
“Okay Samarth, Shubham and Shifa go, go you have 10 minutes climb up, defeat that other goon and rescue all the four kids. Remember don’t alert the other two goons.”
“Got it”
Shubham and Shifa
Shubham starts to climb towards the room through the thick water pipe and Shifa follows close by, Shifa is carrying a huge rope like structure made from tying blankets on her shoulder. Shubham looks behind his shoulder and says,
“I will take care of the guy you tie the rope on the window and help the kids get out okay?”
“Yeahhh...whoa got it” Shifa replies still trying to regain her balance.
“Drop your shoes, it is making you lose your grip”
“Okay”, she drops her shoes and surprisingly he was right her grip improves and she climbs faster.
As they reach the top, Shubham sees that the goon’s back is towards him. He holds him behind and Shifa starts tying the blanket rope tightly to the window frame.
“Hold onto the rope tightly okay”, she shows thumbs up to Aaravi who is standing at the other end of the rope, with lot of cushioning spread.
The kids start going out one by one and when the last kid also reaches the ground safely, she sees Shubham still struggling with the goon.
Shubham has managed to restrain the goon but no completely overpower him.
Shifa quickly pulls out a bottle from her pocket and takes a torn cloth which was thrown nearby, spreads the liquid on it and brings it closer to goons’ mouth and he faints.
Shubham releases the hold panting, tired from restraining the goon.
“What was that”
“You are lucky I had chloroform; you were about to lose your strength”
“No, I was not”
“Yeah, whatever, let’s tie him up.”
Anubhav, Samarth, Arjun and Avijita
“The goon is coming down, be alert”
“Yeah, got it, Anubhav.”
As soon as the goon steps out of the door,
Samarth says, “NYPD freeze, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say……”
BAAAAMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!
Avijita comes into view when the goon falls flat on his face.
Arjun comes running,
“You dumbfuck Samarth that was not in the plan”
“Thanks to Avijita, she hit him on the head, otherwise you would have been dead you motherfucker, what is this joke to you?”
Avijita is still taking deep breaths, still recovering from the shock of the sudden sneak attack she made, still she says,
“Who the f**k says NYPD, you live in India”
“Sorry, too much Brooklyn nine-nine”
“Next time watch Singham”
Anubhav comes running and smacks Samarth’s head
“He is one hell of a brave i***t”
“Anyway, you both take your position, it’s gonna be difficult”
Arjun and Avijita
Arjun and Avijita start climbing up the water pipe, when Arjun says, “You will have to handle a guy with the gun I wouldn’t have let you too, but the other guy is solid muscle and you won’t be able to tackle him.”
“I know Arjun, don’t worry I am pissed at how you talked to me today, so rest assured I will imagine that guy as you and boom he will be defeated in no time”
Arjun rolls his eyes, but smiles a little, his tension goes just a tad-bit, he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt because he was not strong enough, not again, he won’t admit this out loud but she was special.
Avijita reaches the top first signals the kids to lay down, she quickly pulls out the pepper spray and sprays it on the lean guy’s face and before he can fire the gun, she takes out a knife and cuts his arm near his wrist, the gun falls, the huge guy runs to tackle her, but Arjun jumps inside and pushes him back.
Avijita picks up the gun and throws it outside, and starts tying the rope as she shows thumbs up to Aaravi and signals the kids to climb down.
She is being dragged by her hair she turns to see the man has managed to free one hand from Arjun’s grip and pull at her hair. She tries to break free, but before she could do anything, Samarth, Shubham and Anubhav barge into the room helping Arjun.
Avijita signals the kids to leave through the door.
Arjun gut punches the guy and his hold on Avijita’s hair loosens, she turns and knees him in the balls.
All the guys loosen their hold and grimace in pain, like she had hit them, Avijita screams, “he deserved it, he dragged me by my hair, don’t you all starts bonding over pain in the balls”
They all nod and resume hitting.
After the fight
They fight ended and they all stand exhausted, a bit shocked but most of all pumped with adrenaline, they all look at each other and their eyes sparkle with epiphany.
They all say together, “We are gonna take part in this competition”
Only Anubhav is the one in thoughts,
“The parents said two kids were killed, but we didn’t see any bodies and now I can’t spot the women who was crying over her dead child.”
In the Winxer office
Aditya smiles at Alexandros, “they finally realised it sir. Your plan worked.”
“Indeed, it did, now time to train them to save us from the apocalypse.”
