CHAPTER 17: The Remarkable Night
"IT WAS EARLY in the morning when Lilian got up from the bed. After she fixed herself, she heard a knock from outside of her room. She lazily opened the door and saw Kathryn and Liza smiling widely at her while holding two boxes.
"Good morning!" They greeted in unison and giggled as they looked at each other.
"Yeah, good morning, too." Well, Lilian is not really in the mood early in the morning. She read a book last night and finished it at exactly three in the morning. She was still hooked on the characters, making it hard for her to forget the lines in the book.
"Oh. You have an eyebags," Liza commented when she saw Lilian's face then pouted.
