I pull Theo out of the truck and carry her inside. She hasn’t said a word, just stared out the window and cried the whole way home. I don’t know what to say to her. Losing Hanna so suddenly, she probably thinks she should have been able to do something.
I carry her straight to my room and place her in the bed. I close the door gently behind me and head back to find dad. He’s in his study.
“Hey Gray, I thought I heard you come in… How was your trip?” He asks
“Dad...something has happened. Theo needs to stay here for a few days if that’s okay.. Hanna killed herself tonight” I don't beat around the bush with him. His eyes widen and he nods.
“What can I do?” He asks
“I don’t know.. She hasn’t spoken.. I don’t know what to do dad.. It was her best friend..”
“I understand..
