Damien felt his heart pounding in his chest as he crept through the dense forest. He had been hiding out here for days, trying to avoid the inevitable confrontation with his father, Alpha Dominic. But he knew that he couldn't stay hidden forever. Eventually, he would have to face the music and deal with the consequences of his actions. As he moved through the underbrush, Damien heard a rustling sound behind him. He turned quickly, but there was nothing there. He shook his head, thinking he was just being paranoid. But as he continued on, the sound persisted. He started to pick up his pace, his heart racing faster and faster. Suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed him by the shoulder. Damien spun around, ready to fight or run, but instead found himself face-to-face with a tall, muscular man. The man's eyes were steely and cold, and Damien knew right away that he was in trouble. "What are you doing out here, boy?" the man growled, his grip tightening on Damien's shoulder. Damien tried to pull away, but the man was too strong. "Leave- leave me be," he stammered. The man chuckled, a deep, menacing sound. "Silver hair, and these eyes. You’re Damien Silvster?" Damien felt his heart sink. He had been so careful, but somehow this man had found him. He tried to think of a way to escape, but before he could do anything, the man had tied his legs together and started dragging him towards his home. Damien struggled and fought, but it was no use. The man was too strong. He resigned himself to his fate and let himself be dragged along the forest floor. When they arrived at the pack's territory, the man took Damien directly to Alpha Dominic's house. Damien's stomach turned as he thought about facing his father. He had never felt so much hatred towards anyone in his life, but he knew that he had to keep his emotions in check if he wanted to keep his mother safe. Damien knew that he had to come up with a plan to protect his mother from Alpha Dominic's wrath.. Damien took a deep breath before speaking, his eyes locked onto his father's. "I'll marry Katherina," he said, his voice steady. "But only under one condition." Alpha Dominic raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "And what condition is that?" he asked. "I want my mother to attend the wedding," Damien replied, his tone firm. "Alive and well." There was a tense silence as Alpha Dominic stared at his son. Damien could feel the weight of his father's gaze, but he refused to back down. He had already lost so much, and he refused to let his mother be taken from him too. Finally, Alpha Dominic spoke. "And what makes you think so? That I will just kill her ?" he asked, a hint of malice in his voice. Like how you almost did every now and then, father. That’s what Damien wanted to say, but the words did not comes out of his mouth. Damien felt a knot form in his stomach, but he held his ground. "I just want you to remember. Remember that you need me, Father," he said. "You need me to be your successor. And you know that if you harm my mother, I will never forgive you." There was another tense silence before Alpha Dominic spoke again. "Very well," he said, his voice cold. "Your mother can attend the wedding. But she must remain under my protection at all times." Damien nodded, relief flooding through him. "Agreed," he said. They continued to talk, making arrangements for the wedding and discussing the future of the pack. Damien found it difficult to keep up the facade, knowing that his father was just using him for his own gain. But he kept his emotions in check, knowing that it was the only way to protect his mother. As he left his father's house, Damien felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He had bought some time, but he knew that he would have to stay alert if he wanted to keep his mother safe. Damien quickly made his way through the pack's territory, using his knowledge of the land to avoid detection. He finally arrived at his mother's location and breathed a sigh of relief as he saw that she was unharmed. "Mom!" he exclaimed as he rushed towards her, embracing her tightly. "Dami, what are you doing here?" Luna asked, looking up at her son with concern. "I came to get you out of here," Damien replied. "I can't let you stay with him any longer. It's not safe." Luna looked at her son for a moment, then nodded slowly. "Okay, but how are we going to get out of here without being seen?" Damien thought for a moment, then pulled out a small, black device from his pocket. "I have a tracker. We can use it to find a safe path out of here." Luna looked at the device skeptically. "Where did you get that?" "I made it," Damien replied with a shrug. "I've been working on it for a while." As they stood there, talking quietly and making their escape plans, Alpha Dominic suddenly appeared in front of them. He was flanked by two of his most loyal guards, both of whom had their eyes fixed on Damien. "Well, well, well," Alpha Dominic said with a smirk. "Look who we have here. My disobedient son, and his traitorous mother." Luna Monique stepped forward, her eyes blazing with fury. "I am not a traitor," she spat. "I have done nothing wrong." Alpha Dominic chuckled. "Oh, I beg to differ. Years ago, you came here on your knees begging me to let your son be raised in the pack. I sheltered you and him. I gave you food, I gave you a title and a roof on your head. And now, you have the audacity to try and take him away from me? You are a traitor, Luna." Damien stepped forward, his fists clenched at his sides. "You have no right to keep her here," he growled. "We have done nothing wrong. Let her leave, and I will fulfill the promise I made." Alpha Dominic laughed. "You forget who holds the power here, boy. I am the Alpha, and what I say goes. And what I say is that you will marry Katherina, and you will do it on the 15th of January, one month from now. And your mother will remain here, as insurance that you will not try to leave before then." Damien felt his heart sink. He had hoped that he could negotiate his way out of this situation, but now it seemed that he had no choice but to go through with the wedding. He turned to his mother, who looked equally defeated.
