As he made his way through the dusty streets, Aurelius was greeted by cheering crowds of men, women, and children. They waved flags and banners, shouting his name and thanking him for coming. Aurelius smiled and waved back, enjoying the attention.
Eventually, he came to the town square, where a large stage had been erected. There were tables and chairs set up all around, and the air was filled with the delicious smells of roasted meat and freshly baked bread.
