Emma’s POV The silence in the room after Luca left was suffocating, wrapping around me like a heavy fog that refused to lift. I was still shaking from his touch, my lips tingling from the intensity of his kiss that made me dizzy. I despised the way he caused me to feel, how my body disobeyed all attempts at maintaining control. I despised him. However, what I despised the most was myself.
