Chapter 2: The Nightmare Begins

804 Words
Rising out of the tombstones at the local graveyard, the army of hell spawned kittens would make their way onto the streets. It was midnight, and a gravedigger was working the tombstones, unaware that he was being watched. His spine was crawling as if he as engulfed by scarab beetles. Billions of eyes were watching him. Feeling nervous, he moved an inch from one of the graves. It was a big mistake as the kittens came out from the dead bushes and attacked the main, ripping through his abdomen and maiming him from the inside out. The gravedigger screamed as loud as he could but no one could hear his screams. The kittens pulled out their blood-covered noses and left the graveyard, leaving the gravedigger's mangled corpse behind, with only his intestines, a few fingers and his tongue left behind. As the kittens made their way on the sidewalk, the used the shadows to mask their appearance to better ambush their victims. The wind would be howling, and blood would be dripping from their little noses. They were silent, with only creepy, raspy breathing. After walking a few blocks, they came across a Chihuahua and invaded the yard. The little dog barked and growled ferociously at the satanic felines, and using their claws, the little canine was shredded to pieces. Hearing whimpering coming from the yard, an elderly lady would look outside the window, only to see the corpse of her dog, looking like mashed up spaghetti. She would have a heart attack as the kittens tried to break in, but with no luck. Giving up the hunt, they went elsewhere to spread c*****e. Back at home, Hercules would go up to William's room to check on him as well as his parents. He made sure no harm would come to them as nighttime was usually creepy. Outside, the kittens passed by the house, but seeing that the gates were locked, they chose not to go in. Even worse for them, the sprinklers were on. Realizing that they needed to blend in soon, the approached the streets, surrounded by stores. Seeing alleyways, the made a mad dash for them and stayed hidden. One of them was near a pet shop and there was also an adoption center. Both places were open 24/7. This was their chance. Inside the pet store, an employee was tending to some kittens, feeding them and giving them water, as well as grooming them. Outside, the hellspawns would not be able to get into the front door while it was still closed, so they decided to hobble over to the back. Scratching the door, the demons would get the attention of the employee still working there. The employee would open the door and scream like a banshee as the sight of their skeletal bodies. He ran as fast as he could, jumping into a box to hide. Believing that the Black Death has returned, he made sure to keep clear of them. The animals in the store were fast asleep, allowing the undead felines to spring an attack. One by one, they killed and slaughtered cats, dogs, birds, and reptiles. However, they avoided attacking the fish. After a few of their malevolent deeds have been done, they jumped into the enclosured and blended in, hoping no one suspected a thing. After a while, the employee would come out of his box and see this new batch of kittens in the enclosures, unaware that they were the same ghouls that tried to attack him. He gave them water, and as they tried to drink, it burned their faces like acid, almost revealing their true forms. They looked up at him with murderous intent and pounced on him. He ran for the door with hundreds of them biting at his heels, ripping into his limbs, gouging his eyes. He screams his last screams as he was brutally ripped apart, and blood would splatter on the window. It was almost day time, and The Devil's pets have succeeded in killing their first 42 victims. Down in Hell, The Devil would grin as his plans were going according to plan. He created the perfect monsters to carry out his bidding. "So much murder, so much chaos," he said to himself and cackled maliciously. Bodies have piled up that first night, and there will be more to come. It was almost day time and they went back into their enclosures as if everything was normal. The Sun was rising and there was blood all over the store. The night shift employee was dead, ripped apart by billions of teeth and claws, each feline licking their chops and eyes glowing with pure evil. They no longer needed to hide from the world as long as they were disguised, to lure their prey into their impending doom.
